In Buncombe County NC 30 dead we lost a sheriff deputy in Madison County and 1 in Macon county.

 

That is so sad to hear.

The rain that hit here, swirled around & came back .... Its STILL raining here from that.

Should clear out Weds & then maybe mow again on Friday.

Spent a couple hours last nite picking up branches & limbs. Still gotta do the back yard & far side.

So that was taken down by the hurricane. Should have been taken down years ago so it wouldn't be dumped in our laps like it is now. The person I work for was like "that big oak tree". It's clearly an ash that was taken out by the beatles.

Not just anybody...

 

Friend of mine gave me this Craftsman chainsaw Saturday. Guessing it hasn't been ran in 10+ years.

I smelled the gas, it didn't even smell like gas. Was just thin oil.

I poured it out yesterday, put some fresh gas in, pulled it 6 times and it fired up.

Smoked like a freight train for about a minute then cleared up and runs like a new one

 

So it was in storage mode

 

I'm gonna say it's never seen or heard the word "ethanol"

Cleaned up more limbs branches this morning. Still raining so haven't made it on to the trails yet to see what the damage was.

Still have more to clean up in the yard.... Back said its time for a break.

It's ironic that you can see that. The guy I work for swears it's an oak. At this point I'm "like yeah whatever it's an oak" . I just don't care anymore.

 

I dont see welders in the title… I was going to get the harbor freight 125 flux welder during their sale tomorrow for $100 but I came upon a good deal on the Eastwood 140 welder that has the gas option.

 

Almost looks like a poplar tree to me.

 

I thought the same thing when I first saw it, they have very similar bark
