As far as I know we are getting mail the last 2 days. But I thought I saw USPS is suspending service.
heard and saw this this morning.
I did see our UPS guy yesterday he waved as he went by so he knows we are well.
I posted in the thread I started Asheville NC where to donate and best update I can give.

Cole is headed to the orthopedic doctor this morning about his finger, we'll see what they say.

 

Hope and pray that Cole’s appointment goes well.

 

This is a friend of mines house in the Lansing area of Ashe County, N.C. The entire house was under water.

Another guy I know, he and a friend of his took some stuff to the mountains yesterday. One of the things he said they needed was gas cans. They took 600 gallons of gas and 200 gallons of diesel with them in tanks but were having trouble distributing it because people's gas cans got washed away. So sad.

 

Tell them thank you.

 

Heading to town for some supplies this morning.

Can’t imagine what many are going through..

Guy from Duke Energy just came by the shop to get something repaired. He said they still have about 300,000 without power in the mountains and it's very hard because of the rugged terrain. He said they are having to clear a path to get to the power lines. I can't imagine how rough that is!

Doctor told Cole if he was going to do surgery it would have been in the 1st week of breaking it. Since today is 6 weeks, take the splint off and be free.

Poor fella, he has to live with his finger being jacked up for the rest of his life because the doctor my wife took him to 3 days after it happened didn't want to do an xray

We have been good with power, Internet. We lost power Saturday morning and got it back Sunday night late. Went to Sam's and waited in line for 45 minutes to get in. They had gas and some perishables. No dairy products but had frozen stuff they had some fresh meat. We bought a bottom round primal so I will process it tomorrow.
Gas is starting to get better but there's still lines.
Checked in on my mother and sister. Both have power now.
The water is receding now and the real damage is being seen. Asphalt has buckled and ripped up. What you have seen in the news and drone footage is mostly factual.
