Following this thread for my 3RD GEN.

Interested to see how this might pair with my OTT tune once available.

My basic exhaust is currently all stock.

    Calling 3rd gen guys.

I’m genuinely curious to know if a true 3” exhaust exists for the 3rds.

The truck I am building off of currently has a 3” MBRP, however the flange is less than 2.5” ID.

Basically from what I am seeing at this time, a true 3” exhaust is truly not possible simply because of flange size.

That will make this Y pipe the ONLY true option once the Y-back is released.

The previously offered URD Spec-U was 2.25" equal length Y w/ a true 3" exhaust section. It's what we used to eclipse 400whp on the 3G Maggy.

But was it a factory sized flange or was it a compression clamp? I don’t see how I will be able to get a proper gasket in the mix utilizing the factory flange.

Also, why was the URD equal length discontinued?

@906taco whereabouts in MI are you located? I'm in Rochester Hills and am interested and have a 3rd gen w/ maggy if you need something to measure anything off of (and you're close enough of course).

The URD Spec-U was a a 'system' with an integrated Ypipe and Catback. It did not use any of the factory flanges (other than at the end of the factory manifolds), as it had it's own pipe routing. It used V-Band flanges and slip fit joints. Similar to this system.

It was probably removed from the marketplace for the 'things' it removed from the factory system it replaced...

Interesting it would be removed for that reason when he still sells things that remove those things.

Strangely, the third gen offers more clearance between the trans pan and crossmember as well as more room to move the v-band higher. Downside is, the passenger side absolutely sucks for room. But we will get there!
