    Hello all,

Wanted to share a few mods that I recently installed. Really just needed to replace my outer tie rods (kept tearing boots, likely from doing dumb shit in my truck), but went with a lil extra.

    PRG Heim Outer tie rods:
    https://www.prgproducts.com/product-page/toyota-tacoma-fj-4runner-heimtie-rod-end

These look and run fantastic. Only have a few thousand miles on them but they are great. Maintenence consists of wiping them and adding a good dry-lube.

    WarFab tie rod sleeves:
    https://warfabarmor.com/products/tacoma-tie-rod-sleeves

These also look great. They replace your stock jam nut. Very beefy, can't say much other than I haven't bent or broke anything yet.

OverlandCustomDesign Heim sway bar end links:

    https://overlandcustomdesign.com/co...m-joint-sway-bar-links?variant=37312596148390

These end links are great, fully adjustable, and also very beefy. For those who run sway bars, these are pricey but boot-less. My stock links were seeping a bit and decided to toss them for These.

Not being paid by any of these companies, just wanted to share some good experiences with seemingly good parts. If you are due for any parts, simply want to upgrade, or just want to beef up some things, these are good options!

Still liking these tie rod ends? I've had my eye on them for a bit, but reviews on them are few and far between.

No complaints whatsoever. I throw a little dry lube on the heim once a month or so and they run great.

I just installed a pair of moog greaseable sway links as I noticed my own "sealed" ones had a bit of seepage. Cost me like 40 something from rock auto for the pair. Likely going to pre emptively replace my tie rod ends the next time I need an alignment.

Do we have 15mm or 16mm inner tie rods? I want to order these.

I pulled the trigger on the PRG rods... Now I regret it. The dude won't ship them out, return any messages or calls, or refund my money. Steer clear of PRG Products! (Pun not intended) I'm going with CJD, thanks for sharing the link.

What are the downsides and risks to running the full heim steering kit from CJD?

I was told by pgr if it rotates at all, it will bind the rack and break it. most inner celvis are longer than the ball joint assembly and typically increase bumpsteer.

Of course after writing that PGR was stringing me along, the rods randomly showed up.. now I feel like a dick for putting them on blast. They had a supply issue, but didn't communicate that very well. Oh well, shit happens. Super happy with the quality though. And install was a no brainer. Between the sleeve, rod, and core 4x4 end link, it firmed everything up substantially! Feels like a new truck especially on trails. Thanks for your write up, it helped me make the decision. Cheers

Hard to take any of y’all serious still rocking your sway bars. Take them off and you will never look back.

I gave this some thought and actually ended up grabbing the Apex Designs Air Lynx disconnects.

Been running them disconnected and it feels great, but aired them up for a road trip and it definitely instills a bit more confidence and flatness for avoiding idiots/things on the highways.

Fare enough. It’s something you just get used to and if you have upgraded suspension it doesn’t really feel any different to me. To each his own. Happy holidays!

Oh for sure, if I had something fancier than my 5100s I'd throw the sway bar away. One day.

Just did when I revamped my whole setup! Never going back man. Wish I would have lost it years ago.
