Sorry… +25 wheels… also not really going for looks so not sure your argument there, and these bead grips did more than I could have asked for with the stuff I got into. The width from sidewall-sidewall on my truck is a hair under 81”

My tech’s 3rd gen OE width with -12 beadlocks on 35s measures out to 78.5”.

compared to a full width (D60) rig, which is who I wheel with, I’ll take an 81” width and the ground clearance all day.

You will quickly learn lessons about sidewalls and the importance of bead locks with full hydro steering.

Either way, this thread isn’t about portals and mid travel.

So J arm swing set though…
Back on conversation since this is definitely not aimed at selling to rock climbers

So here’s where we are at.

Swingset is a fully functional prototype at this point. As I’ve stated in the past, I want to test before I ever consider bringing to market. It’s an involved project. Absolutely nothing easy about it. But I’m convinced there is no better solution available.

J-arm is going to be my next focus. How many want a balls to the walls kit and understand the expense of something like this, and are willing and to enter an entirely new wormhole?

I should really add & swingset steering to the title.

Anyways here is the pitman arm ready to be finished.

Getting super close to being done with this steering!

Still running JDFab stock length but do plan on changing to the 2.25" over. 74Weld is supposed to come out with a rack this year but until it is out who knows. But this could be even more intriguing.

Truck is really coming along. Beginning the early stages of final tear down now.

Wrapped up the bumper today minus the push bar. This was done with my weld on frame horns. Pumped with how it came together!

These will be available for sale shortly. Bolt on version included!

Not much longer and swingset testing begins!

Well guys. She’s back on the road.

The steering is going absolutely amazing. I can’t even begin to say how proud I am to have pulled this all off!

We also made some big changes in the rear. Moved the front hangers and built our own rear hangers. Pulls 19” metal to metal on a 14” shock. The shock is the only limiting factor for even more.

Every year we push the progression of this truck harder and harder. It develops my skills more each time. Without challenge, there is no progression.

Cool project. Curious about the details. How's the diff mounted? Are you still using the factory diff mounts (bolted under your new crossmember)? I can see the centerlink and its swingers. I can see the steering box and pitman arm go to a drag link with ram assist. I don't see the centerlink and drag link connect anywhere. Curious to see how you went about it. How's the steering angle?
