Hey all. Have been browsing this forum for a bit looking at different ideas on what others have done for upgrading the stock wheels with those from the TRD Pro line. I just had a tire pop so I'm taking the opportunity to upgrade both the wheels and tires. Attached is a picture of my truck with the stock wheels (which I swapped out originally from the black set that came with it). The current tires are 245/75/16s.

Based on what I've been able to establish, I can go with either a 16" or 17" rim. I've seen conflicting info on potential rubbing with the 17"s so I'm leaning towards playing it safe and sticking with 16s with 265/70/16 tires. I also realize there will be a lower tire profile on the 17s which some like and some don't.

For the times, someone recomended I consider the Goodyear Workhourse AT tires but it was a Goodyear dealer and I'm not 100% sure thats an unbiased recommendation. They did say they performed great in the snow which would be helpful since my taco is a 2WD.

I don't tack the vehicle off road and it's my daily driver so I'm mainly looking to upgrade the look while keeping the drive comfortable. I'm also not trying to go crazy on the cost here.

Look forward to any feedback and recommendations.

    Welcome to the forum :hattip:

I believe you have a stock TRD Off Road wheel already.

You can use this calculator to compare different tire sizes: Just my opinion, I never had good luck with Goodyear. :notsure:

It certainly looks like you have stock TRD OR wheels. You can do 265/70R16 or 265/75R16 if you want a little more height with no rubbing issues.

Looks like you're in California, I have some OEM pro 16 wheels in great shape if you're interested.

Thanks for the responses. I do indeed have the TRD Off Road wheels already and my goal is to upgrade to the Pros. Just to help clarify, I'm not just looking for new tires but appreciate the intel on the tires too!
