    I actually think you should keep your Taco, buy one of the cheapest LX470's in you area, learn to work on it and maintain it yourself, then be proud to drive a well maintained significantly more modern and upscale vehicle once you get to that point.

    My Tacoma needs more immediate work than that Land Cruiser - rack, LCAs, a bunch of seals, etc.

    This one pretty much is the cheapest running 100 series around that’s doesn’t have holes in the frame.

    Would it be enough to cause wear in the running gear, or just alignment/wear issues? The fronts are Yokohama MTs with maybe 30% tread and the rears are Nitto ATs that looked pretty much brand new.

    That's bad for the transfer case and differentials. Not great for alignment if they were mix and matched side to side but shouldn't affect that how it is now. That ad read like this to me... "our family liked this thing for a long time, but we've gotten something better and the kids are through beating on this one as we got them something else too, we couldn't be bothered to fix the windshield or tires cause we don't want to drive it anymore and are trying to recover a bit of cash for a vacation to New York"

    It seemed like a good truck, but you may not be wrong. The price still seems fair at 7500 though.

    Also it occurred to me - how do you get a blowout on a Yokohama mud terrain when they said they never took it off road? And if it was just one tire, why are there two new ones at the back? I can ask them I guess. I haven’t bought it yet so these see genuine questions.

    @Running Board Man

    James can share his experience with his parent running mismatched tires on a Land Cruiser and actually killing the transfer case

    Man, the driveway and walkway has remained stupid clean since we got the gutters and roof cleaned and all the pigeon crap and nests removed

    Got pigeon guards to keep pigeons out of the eaves; other houses got it pretty bad
