    crutchfield includes the Metra kit.

Bought my single din HU from Crutchfield and it came with a Metra dash kit. Fit & finish were excellent and I prefered the Metra textured finish over the Scosche smooth finish.

Haven't swapped a HU in the Tacoma yet but I've used Crutchfield several times in the past and have never been disappointed.

I ordered a dual din last month and they asked me if I wanted black or silver. I chose sliver and they sent me a scoshe kit...

^^ What they said. The only issue I had was my clips were a little loose. Rectified by taping over the clips to make a snugger fit, no more problem.

I'll be trying this as I am really miffed at how my Metra kit from Crutchfield fit...I love Crutchfield...and I know the dash kits are hit and miss but I am really not happy with how mine is fitting. Wait...it doesn't even really fit...the damn thing keeps popping loose from it's clips. Yes I used the yellow factory clips.

I need to mess with it to get it right. I spent three days doing my install, I need a break from it so I will just have to keep pushing it back intot he dash after I hit bumps.. hahahahhaha

    What haven’t I changed?
I ordered a headunit from Crutchfield last October and got the double-din fit kit (silver) and it was a Scosche kit as well.

They gave me a Metra kit when I got mine. What a cluster fuck that turned into. They sent me a defective one that was fucked up from the factory. The tabs that stick out that the clips go on were about 1/3 as long as they needed to be they weren't even long enough to fit into the holes. Called Crutchfield told them about it and they refused to believe that the part was defective. I even included pictures of it compared to the tabs on the factory HU and included measurements. They still said it wasn't a defective part claimed the measurements were the same as the demo piece they had and thought that my truck was different. Instead of just sending me a new Metra they sent me a double DIN(I had a single DIN HU) Schosche with some universal thing that was supposed to make it a single DIN(whole looking like asshole in the process). Told them it didn't work and STILL didn't want to entertain the fact that I just got a bad part from Metra and said they would try to work on a new solution. Meanwhile I got tired of having a HU in my dash for a week with no dash piece so I just went and ordered my own Metra kit off Amazon, which sure enough, was made correctly and fit fine. I made sure to tell Crutchfield that they wasted time and should have just listened to me the first time since it was obvious I just got a bad part. Not bashing Crutchfield I've purchased from them numerous times with no issues.

To make a long story short, if you're getting a double DIN HU you can have the Scosche kit they sent me for the cost of shipping haha. It's just been sitting in my computer room since the fall when I got the HU.

    None yet.
I got a silver Metra kit with the double DIN nav unit I ordered. It fits fine. My Scosche single DIN kit never fit perfectly. I'm sure that there will always be some degree of variability.
