Well sadly I can’t be of any help with that. My electrical skills end with screwing in lightbulbs.

 

This looks great!! And I like the look and color of the light at as well. The skinny definitely works well with the lines, it’s not bulky and overcrowding the cowl.

As per the screws… is it possible to get some heavier duty screws or even bore the holes out for a larger diameter screw?

Where did you tap your power supply from to the switch? Maybe you just jumped off a continuously hot feed while the truck is on so it’s overriding the switch? I’d think where ever you jumped power for the ditch lights would be good for this too, just another splitter fuse.

Either way, looks great! Making me start thinking about one.

 

Well… I’ve landed finally after a two hour delay via SouthWest at BWI. The plane we were supposed to take had a bird strike in the #1 engine on its way into BWI. Broke the cowl around the engine and they couldn’t get it repaired. Had to wait for another plane to land and then we stole that plane. lol! Anyway, I’m finally in Estero, FL. Now for some shuteye so can get an early jump on them fishies!!

 

Damn well I hope the rest of the trip goes more smoothly!

Thanks! I also like the color. I don’t have a tap and die set but I did use a little thread locker on the screws lol. We’ll see how that goes. I had to make brackets as the screws were not long enough to go through the Prinsu brackets, a washer and seat in the light bar.

I’m thinking I misremembered how I wired up the ditch lights and first light bar. Somehow rerouted power back through to keep the light bars on. I’m hoping to play with it today or tomorrow. For not the fuses are pulled to make sure they’re not getting any power to damage anything.

I’ll probably try and find longer screws too. Zip ties are a good choice and I’m sure will help

Just need to figure out the wiring and I’ll be set. I got a couple hours later today that I can mess with it.

I’ll be interested to hear what you think about the noise, that was one of the main reasons I got rid of mine a while back.

Driving up to about 55 mph and I didn’t hear anything different. I do also have the skulls and ditch lights that have been on for a long time. It could be o don’t even notice the noise.

 

I just spent about an hour looking for the tube of black rtv that came with the rack. I was planning on sealing around the bottom rubber washers and spacers.

Couldnt find it anywhere. Found the package from it but not the sealant…
