I want to see more pictures of these in the wild. I think it’s the answer to my needs such as hauling lumber and also having a softopper (soon to come) installed most of the time.

Very nice looking product. The lines of it are perfect for the transition from cab to bed. It’s a lot of coin at one time for both but it seems to be the best option for those of us who want to keep the softopper.

Love the design for the softopper but the only issue I see would be the difficulty in accessing the softopper buttons to snap/unsnap for those like me who likes to run with the sides rolled up.

    This is a rad product,

I think it would be so cool if you guys turned this rack into a fully enclosed space with locking doors, just a rear hatch and coving up open space and this would be an awesome shell IMO. Probably harder than it sounds but would be awesome!

Any chance the doors could be flipped so they open down? Then they could be used as a table for light duty use?

Man, I've been dying to get a rack to go over my Softopper. I'd love to try this out and help you all develop a product too, but I'm on the wrong side of the country!

Wouldn't that make it a little inconvenient to get things out of the back?

I don't really grab items out of the side of my Softopper. The ST arms make it so only small items can pass through, and your adding in 3 vertical bars for the rack to restrict that even more. I'm also 6ft so reaching over the door wouldn't be too big of a deal for me if I had too

I was helping my buddy install his Alu Cab table/max Trac mount which is what gave me the idea

    has anyone painted theirs black

would probably look cool and match everything else black
don't know about tan, kinda too late for that
and powdercoat shop told me their tan formula is weaker than black and typically only done if really needed such as for military application

PC also seems overkill and unnecessarily expensive at this point, things to go wrong if not masked probably (been through that before)

looking at paint, and where that can even be done, such as if a house with a back yard is needed to avoid overspray with so much painting on such a big piece
I figure, abrade the whole thing
    -clean and wash
    -prep wipe or spray optional
    -etching primer
    -rustoleum black
    -clear

    and hopefully no issues

had it happen on small items spray clear, it wrinkles up
    despite base cure time prior
which according to Google means need to give it even more cure time for the base, before clear, to prevent that
hopefully that is it and not something wrong with the can

no big deal for that to happen on a small item. Would suck on a big rack

don't know about plasti-dip, or on truck
as overspray would probably get on other things

there was one in classifieds either gen or local for a screaming deal. If not another rack. Check those. Only issue is you may or may not be near it.

and check if they list 3rd gen. Supposedly it’s the same and fits both 2 and 3 gen.

    Not enough.
Selling mine if anyone is interested. I don't have enough posts to put it in the For Sale threads but I have it on craigslist. Let me know if interested.
