I will be adding a below deck power panel on the side wall of my bed at the rear drivers side. I am at some point going to get a decked system. To accommodate the decked system, I will install the panel at least 12” off the floor of the bed.

It seems like just the thick plastic of the vertical bed wall… is there anything I need to be aware of behind there that would interfere with cutting the bed wall and installing the power panel?

    Thanks in advance

Mike, did you ever get any info back? How did the install go? I’m adding a plate to the cubby next to AC for some Anderson plugs and charge ports. Here is my mockup, the plate will be printed with PLA.

Hahaha! I didn't measure and came uncomfortably close to nicking the filler. The power panel has been great for the fridge and mood lighting.

Choosing the location was fairly straight forward and I did plan on being high up on the side wall. Used an ovulating saw to cut through the fiberglass. There is virtually nothing behind there. I have switchpro on drivers side, where i fused the heavy duty wire harness back there. It as almost not enough slack.

I bought all this stuff before off powertrays website. The wire ext wagon was really tight from the tray on the drivers side to the connectors.
