I had a 98, the space was nice, if you need it. If money is tight, a used shell on the Tacoma would provide covered space more affordably then a new truck. Personally it'd take a helluva 100 or 200 at a sane price to bring me back versus something like a GX.
But if you have Cruiser fever that bad, then hey...


At least they get great MPG for a daily.

 

I test drove a 100 series, just to see what the fuss was about

The GX felt 'just right' because it's big enough to give you the added room you'd want, but small enough to remain nimble unlike a 100 series

 

dirtlegal offers this as a service, $1500 to setup the llc + reg for 1 vehicle. then $150/yr after or something like that

 

On second thought I shouldn't have said anything and let him try. Just imagine the conversation with the DMV

All the ribbing and banter aside, I honestly feel like this would be a good vehicle for me. I coils for all my stuff inside and sleep in the back on the way to Idaho.

It’d just suck to have to get tires again, even if it’s only two. Maybe I could use a couple of Craig’s old tires for it if the sure not too dry rotted.

Reply to them and tell them you need more time to sit on it since it's at the top of your budget and it needs some work, tires, etc and literally, leave it at that.

No additional commentary, nothing.

This will either force them to just offer you a lower price to entice you to do the deal, or they'll leave you alone in the event that other people are lining up to buy it.

My gut says there aren't many people lining up for this thing.

This is literally a negotiation tactic.

 

They claim that they’re getting blown up with messages from people around the country. They are a bit out of the way though, so I was the only one to actually go look at it AFAIK.

I think 7500 is a fair price for that thing, even with the tire situation. It would be more ideal for someone that actually had the cash in hand though obviously.
