The taller spacing is an OEM trick to get more leverage on the spindle. Think like holding a broom up at the end with your hands together vs farther apart. It allows them to engineer in more stability without as much material added as there would be if they just made everything thicker to get more stability. Not exactly sure what handling characteristics the aftermarket kits are chasing besides slightly more travel and space on the frame side from having the control arms swing in a more similar arch to each other, but i guess it's mostly that since they can with beefier parts. Less camber change if the spindle side is kept far apart but frame side is closer, maybe that too but that would add bump steer so i'm not quite sure that's why either

That’s exactly where I was and it was as good as the taco got for me. I’d still have it if I hadn’t done anything else to it. Too big to SAS. If it were me I’d start in on a smaller Toyota/Jeep as a more dedicated wheeler and enjoy having the taco to wheel until it’s done. Hell you might could still tow it with the taco and it not be totally miserable…

What I’m most impressed about is the 30” limit strap. What, about 3” of stretch from that baby?

What about that Bluetooth tie rod? Why don’t they want to show that?

Guys are gonna cut their whole ass front end off and be like “why can’t I drive this down the highway?”

Plus you’re stuck with it after cutting all that off. Nothing else bolting up to that.

What I see of All Pro.

They are part of a conglomerate. AKA a big business with many areas of focus but no areas of actual specialties.

I will bet, they don’t pay well. Likely don’t seek true enthusiasts and seek those that will support their bottom line. Money.

If they can cut corners to save costs outsourcing over seas etc, that’s exactly what they are going to do. But because they are a big name that has been around a long time, many won’t question it.

Is it a cool idea? Absolutely. Did the engineers involved making half of what they should be actually give enough shits to make it “right”, doubtful.

Will you get good customer support when the issues arise and half your truck is laying on the floor? Also, doubtful.

Bottom line. Do you. If cheap under par products that lack attention to detail, customer support etc are your thing. That’s on you.

Meanwhile we have a bunch of other great companies pushing this platform to new levels with high quality products that have high levels of thought and attention to detail along with AMAZING customer support. DMZ, Dirtking, Total Chaos, Jd Fabrication, LSK, Solo. And the list goes on and on and on.

The real ones are the ones that should be supported.

Just my two cents on the deal.

Also, why the hell did they build that with a top hat upper mount? As mentioned, nothing else is going to work here after the install.

That’s what happens when you pay an “engineer” that knows nothing and makes 20$ an hour to “move everything forward 2 inches”. All signs indicate colossal mess.
