Cool. Were you able to take Kingston Peak from Alice over the top and down the Central City side (or vice versa)? I haven't been up there in a few years but couldn't quite get over the last hill from Alice in my 4Runner. I think I got stopped around here:

Can someone tell me what all I need to buy (w/links) in order to change some of the hidden features, looks like Carista will do it, but what do I need to buy??

I mainly want to change the 3 blinks to 7 blinks on the lane change signals, and maybe a few other things...

I see the Carista OBD (white) for $39.99 and then the Carista EVO (black) for $69.99, which one do I need and do I need anything else??

I had deavers on my second gen they were great. I’ve read and heard mixed things about the icon pack. I’m not sure the aal would be enough lift with a full build out box plus camper shell. If it was it would be the easiest

The Velcro they give you isn’t worth a damn…wasn’t able to get it to stick no matter how much I cleaned the dash. I anticipated this and had this ready to go

    From the FAQs:
“Both our Adapters, Carista EVO, and Carista OBD, provide easy adjustments to your car’s settings…
Our advanced Adapter, Carista EVO, enhances compatibility and extends Carista features to a wider range of cars. Designed for a stable and fast connection, it supports the MS-CAN protocol in Ford, Lincoln, and Land Rover cars and SFD unlocking for VAG vehicles.”
The white one is capable of doing the only things their app can do on our trucks.
The EVO supports more vehicles and is faster.
Unless you have a problem with waiting a minute to connect, are looking for faster live data or wanting to use it on other vehicles not supported by the OBD version, the EVO is a waste of money for changing the settings once.
That’s not to say the OBD will have access to all the settings forever, but it did 2 months ago when I paid for, then canceled, a subscription to program my tpms sensors.
Also worth noting is that if all you’re doing is changing the settings you could also buy a USB to OBD cable from Amazon and download a pirated version of techstream to achieve the same results. This is probably even cheaper. I don’t know what those cables cost, but you wouldn’t have to mess with subscriptions in the future if you ever wanted to change the settings again

Thanks for the help, it is starting to make since to me now, I can build engines, transmissions, rear-ends etc etc, but this computer stuff is my kryptonite...
I will have to get my son to look into the techstream one, but the Carista sounds like the way to go...

It would be nice if the OTT installers could also do the hidden settings while doing the tune...

I have a Carista OBD2 for sale. $25 plus shipping from 14094. Purchased from Amazon on 9/21/24 for $44.99 plus shipping. Used one time to turn off seat belt warning ding and change turn signal auto-flasher count on my 2021 Sport. Worked like a charm. Looking to get beer money back;) I tried to post in "Buy/Sell/Trade" but I don't have 50 post. You have no worries, I've been a forum member since 2011. IMG_0608.jpg
