It sucks. We could not even find the plugs for those switches although it seems we found part of the harness.

So I just want to be clear, if we have the pig tails in the glove box(plug and play) We use them. If there are no pig tails in the glove box then it can be more of an issue. Correct ?

    just trying to understand.

    Awesome thanks.
Looking for somewhere to mount a set of spare Rigid SAE D series lights I have laying around. Having another source of switched power is a nice bonus.

I hope to add closure to the many threads asking about adding factory AUX connectors to the 4G.

    AUX switch availability

    -- SR / SR5 / PreRunner / Limited - NOT AVAILABLE
-- Sport / Off-Road - UPGRADE or PREMIUM PKG ONLY
    -- TH / PRO - INSTALLED

If you have the AUX switches, you will have two packages of AUX harnesses in your glovebox or under the rear seats at purchase

-- Single connector goes to the REAR
-- Double connector goes near the washer fluid under hood, this connector must be installed to use the REAR connector

Looking behind the lower switch panel, the three AUX switch cables go from a small bundle to a large bundle. The large bundle goes up to the center-top of the dash near the firewall. There is no connectors in-between. I would highly doubt that there is a drop-in factory harness for these switches. If it did exist, it would likely be difficult to get to anyway.

Numbers on the switches that I can see

    AUX 1
    >PBT-GF30<
    M71053 T1

    AUX 2
    >PBT-GF30<
    M92390 T1

    AUX 3
    >PBT-GF30<
    M71097 T3

    IMG_6473.jpg IMG_6472.jpg IMG_6469.jpg

From @slater pics earlier in this thread, it appears that even with no AUX connectors, the 2-pin harness from ENGINE to REAR is installed, but the larger 4-pin harness between ENGINE and SWITCHES does not exist. Keep in mind that you need the large 4-pin ENGINE connector to jumper power to the 2-pin REAR connector from a factory harness perspective. If you don't have the 4-pin connector in the engine compartment, you likely won't have the wiring to the switches as far as we are aware today.

In order for AUX switches to work from a plug-and-play factory perspective, you need all three pre-installed connectors

No, you don't. There are other ways to get juice to the rear connector (S10)

I'm talking about from a factory wiring harness perspective. If you don't have the 4-pin ENGINE connector, you won't have the AUX switches or the wiring to them. Of course, you can add whatever switches / wiring you want to make the REAR work from an aftermarket perspective.

Above post is edited for clarity

I wish there was an aftermarket solution. I have a hybrid trd off rd and I don't have those aux switches but I see that some trd off rd have them. I wish I had done better research and bought a truck with those switches. Maybe an aftermarket solution becomes available soon.

Can you confirm that you don't have either the UPGRADE or PREMIUM package? As far as I can tell from the configurator, the OR has to have one of the two. Was surprised that they aren’t available at all on the Limited.

I would have liked to drop in the factory PRO air pump to my OR, but that isn’t a factory plug-and-play addition either. Will likely to go with an ARB in the engine bay.

Yes, i don't think I have the upgrade or premium package. I see those are some expensive packages that I don't have, but i can tell you i was at the dealership today when i saw Trd off rd that had those switches and its msrp was 53k which is very similar to my msrp which was 52k+ so I am not sure that they only come on upgrade and premium packages only.

Good write up, maybe to help with any confusion I would edit the names of a few of the parts/items.

The harness connectors (ABCD) and the pigtails (cables in the bag) are switched in some of your descriptions.

@Wahhabm pre wired AUX only comes on upgrade and premium OR packages.

Edit: Sport also needs upgrade or premium packages to get them.

Hard to tell with these diagrams. Is AJ1 the other end of that harness? It is behind the driver door lower kick panel?

    IMG_5887.HEIC.jpg

Would follow the purple line like this?

I should have clarified, you have to have one of those packages for the OR to get aux. I'm guessing it's similar for the sport, I just don't those package names.

have anyone figured out the "D" (im guessing AUX4) plug under the bed? Looks like it can support 20A. Thinking that pinout for replay would be right next to relay for AUX3, but no idea where would fuse go and i didnt see any hardness for AUX4 when i poped the switch panel. The new 4Runner had 4 aux buttons though

No aux 4 on these trucks.

If you look in pages 1 and 2 you will see harness ABCD from the manual. A connects to C with a specific pigtail shown on page 2. This will give power to D which you can connect with a pigtail. It's designated as 15amp

    Info is meant for @Wahhabm...
AJ1 is a mating connector. One side is held in by a connector block. The other is the harness to it.

    Yes
