I’ve been putting Woolwax on my frame and body for ~6 years now. My trucks frame was replaced in 2012, so it only had about 6-8 years without any undercoating. I wanted to show a couple pics demonstrating just how well it works and hopefully convince some others to make the switch to woolwax.

Hard to reach spots I’ve been missing that were behind the fuel tank/charcoal canister and the frame rails next to the spare tire:

I presume my entire frame would look very similar to the above areas, but instead it looks like this:

I do touchup on the frame and cab every year and rinse the inside of the frame with soap then re-do inside the frame rails every other year. Awesome product, holds up super well to the car wash and winter driving. The areas I’ve wiped off to do work on something look like brand new paint underneath still. Bolts come off so easily, and as a bonus if you have to apply some heat that seems to pull the woolwax into the threads and even the crustiest looking bolts come out very smoothly. Only downside is that it does get all over your clothes and is a bitch to get out (still have not figured out how best to get it out), but I’ll take that over rust and broken bolts.

They also have a new product called Hard-On which is a hardening version of the regular product to be used on fresh paint or lightly surface rusted surfaces. Looks like this, just put it on my new gas tank:

OP, go buy yourself some tyvek coveralls at a paint store or order on line. Get the ones with the hood and elastic arm/leg holes if possible. Well worth the $$$ and if you only use it for that, just toss it in a old box and keep it for next year.

And yes, it's very easy to miss hidden areas, I always yanked the spare out of the way and sprayed above the tank until it was dripping on the ground.

Agree with the coveralls idea. And if you ever want to wash them, take them to your local Laundromat rather than putting them through your washing machine at home

It's nice stuff. Been using it for 5 years or so. They have a new product out now called Hard-On. Seriously.
It's for the fender well areas. They say it will not come off. Also, make sure you use it only where you don't have to worry about removing it. They said do not spray it over original wool wax and vise-versa.
Anyway, I tried a gallon. At this point I am very pleased with it. No where near as messy as the original to use. And it flows on like paint. I used the same gun I use for wool wax I just thoroughly cleaned it both before and after.
Stuff dries like a rock. I used it in the fender wells on the frame and some other places.
After 5 or 6 days I went to a small area where I had it on and sprayed just a little wool wax over it just to see what happens. So far, nothing. I did it just for a test.
I'll report back after a New England winter.
