Weathertechs w/ a Manual Transmission

I was thinking of ordering some weathertech digital fit floor mats for my 05 AC 6spd, however on the weathertech website it says that the floor mats wont workk with a manual transmission. From the photos it doesnt appear that there is anything in the way of the clutch. I was wondering if there was anyone out there who had/has weathertechs w/ a manual transmission, and if you could give me any feedback as whether they worked or not, or if you had to modify them to work with the clutch. Advice is greatly appreciated.

You had no problems using them with a manual tranny?

 

They'll work fine with a small amount of floor mat cut away with a utility knife - where the clutch pedal would hit the mat when depressed all the way to the floor. Not noticeable at all.

 

You just have to do a little trimming so the clutch can pass without catching the mat. Try the search function up top ^^^ you should be able to find some pics I know there's alot of people on here running weathertechs with a MT

Ive been searching for the past 30 mins, i thiought that was long enough I found a lot about the weathertechs, just not w/ a MT.

 

I have the weathtech floor mats on my manual, (is bench seat so a little different than with bucket seats). Mine are not in the way of the pedals or left foot dead pedal.

Protection and coverage are good but hard to stop all the snow and slush from getting in!

Yeah I've had lost searches myself haha looks like you got your answer and weathertechs are awesome. You'll love them if you get them they're a great investment

 

I trimmed a little for the clutch pedal, but I also got some adhesive velcro. I just put a few pieces of the hook side on the back of the mat of both drivers and pass side, and these things stay put and low profile now.

They have always fit really good, but with the velcro, they are as solid as the FJ floors.

 

That was the case for me (2007 4x4/4cyl/5spd Access Cab), but trimming out a spot for the clutch to clear was a simple 5 min process. Otherwise I'm very happy with the fit and function of my WeatherTechs.

 

I also trimmed my driver side to make clearance for the clutch. If you have an access cab with the rear storage compartment you will have to do a small mod to make the rear mat fit as well.

I have a 5 speed 4 banger access cab and was worried about ordering them at first too. After reading a few threads on here I ordered them. I just pushed the clutch pedal down, traced around the clutch pedal where it hit the mat and cut it out just slightly bigger than what I marked. Works great, never hits the mat.
