Has wheelers gone down hill quick? I thought they were the "go to" shop.

I bought a bunch of parts for a suspension refresh on my truck. Everything fit flawless, except they sent me shackles that didn't come close to fitting, and they were marked on the packaging for a previous version tundra.

They agree'd to waive the 20% restocking fee, but I had to pay shipping to get them back. Shipped them back 3 months ago, they said they received them, but they have a new accounting system and unable to refund my money for another month.

Wheelers becomes hostile, after 3 months of no refunds, I dispute the charge on my credit card and let them handle wheelers. My claim gets denied because wheelers claims they never received my product and the dispute is shut down. I have the tracking number saying that someone named "green" at the dock got the items. I also have on chat history their salesmen steven crawford that the items have been accounted for.

Filling a small claims court across the country seems like a pain in the ass, anyone know of any other options to get my $250 back?

I never have either until that point. I always thought it was an issue with the employee (Steve Crawford) blocking my return. But when I submitted my case to the California consumer protection agency, they ordered trail gear llc to return my money, stating they had multiple other matching infractions against the business.

it took 7 months, but I was able to get my money back without having to go to small claims.

A year later I got an email from one of their accountants named Erica asking me to pull my complaint. She thinks " it was an error due to a new software program called bolt, that the company uses."

I actually believe her, doesn't correct her employee calling my husband " a dumb fu%k." because he couldn't install a Toyota tundra part on a Toyota Tacoma, then hanging up.

    Wow, that's terribly unprofessional.

What makes you think it actually was a problem with the software?

Also, are they based out of California or Oregon? Their google business profile says they're in Oregon. or does the consumer protection agency still protect you from out of state purchases?

Interesting, they had that info listed as California back when I had to file. It was hard to get a lot of my order information because Steve Crawford went and deleted order and all my account profile off of wheelers website. I forgot he also set my last name to Smellycun t hahaha.

I was just saying I could see how it really could have been their new "bolt programs" fault. If it's anything like my companies shipping software, there were/are so many moving pieces of logistics to get our large scale shipping operation to operate smoothly. Then you scale that on teaching it to your employees. I'm assuming California is the same as where I am, getting a half decent employee on a non skilled labor wage is impossible.

Isn't it a lot easier to just deal with this kind of stuff through the credit card company by filing a dispute?
Either way glad it worked out.

Chase banking has a junk dispute center I found out. They won't accept any documents for their "investigation" I called saying I would send in the proof of shipment and proof of their dock worker signing for the arrival of product.

Wheelers has been part of the Trail Gear conglomerate for a while now. And in my opinion they were a mediocre business well before they were bought out.

That’s bummer, years ago it worked great. I wonder if they went downhill.
