60+ year old thread.

Good morning. Picked up chickens and strip steaks yesterday. Had a strip steak for dinner. It was flavorful, I do not eat beef all that much anymore. Today is off to the gym then cleaning out cabinets in the kitchen. Fun day for sure.

 

You’ve got mine! My heart goes out to all!

I am hoping for a quiet day of doing little here on the Front Range. Everyone have a peaceful day!

Good morning Porch Pals & Sue! Going to try to accomplish a little more putz today than I have been. My first hip therapies were way too "stretchy", and my hips hurt all week. So, we moved to a little more strength and endurance (since I've done next to nothing most of the summer). That is working better. Slow as can be, but not hurting so much. We'll build on that, and go from there.

Definitely prayers for those who were in the path of Helene, looking at the widespread damage that they are showing is heartbreaking and nothing less than catastrophic.

First day of archery, 4 of us saw NOTHING!

 

For you hunters - be careful of fake sightings!

 

Off to town again for a grocery order pickup. Standard Sunday ritual. Gets us both out of the house once a week, and we don't have to trek the entire store. Wife keeps a running list going all week, then on Sunday am we go pick it up. We're too far out for delivery. They bring it out, load it into the trunk, done. We can shop the entire store, not just groceries. This trip will net us a new coffeemaker too. We're usually in/out in 10min., never leave the car, although sometimes I'll supervise loading stuff into the trunk. I may rearrange a few things, or not. I call it supplemental training; wife calls it nitpicking. They'll notify us, if they're out of something, give us a list of substitutes we can pick from, or not. Neat service. We usually shop two stores that are across the street from each other. They track us online. Everything is sacked and in coolers when we show up. Once in a while, we'll get a hot broasted chicken from the deli. Very convenient.

At my Brother's house and just woke up , can't believe I slept comfortably for 10 hours !!!

You need to run through the trail cam area so it's blurry, that should get the WTF was that!
If I saw this my trail cam, I don't think I would be hunting in that area!

 

WOW! In just one night? AWESOME!

Mellow day today. 10* cooler than yesterday. Only 45 this morning…NICE! May mow today since it’s so cool. Later wifey has a hearing test at COSTCO to try to get her hearing aids working better. I’ll probably shop around while she’s being tested. Granddaughter is off to work later.

All-in-all a quiet day here. Everyone have a safe mellow Sunday. Everyone hit by Helene, you are kept in my thoughts. Floridians get prepared for the next hurricane, Martin I believe, heading your direction mid week!

 

We had our daughter, her fiancé, his sister, and another young couple over for breakfast this morning. I made sourdough buttermilk waffles which have been fermenting since Friday.
