    Exactly. The wife and I spent the entire summer laying vinyl flooring.
    I figure we saved about $5,000 doing it ourselves.
    Took forever but who cares, we'd load up 6 boxes of this flooring, took our time laying it, then buy another round.
    Too darn hot to go outside so we do 'inside' projects in the summer and 'outside' stuff when it cools down.

    We do good work for pushing 70...

    Ferried a few 2x6s for my cursed fence project. I always say “f—k it” really loudly and shake my head after strapping anything to my truck in the Home Depot parking lot. It makes people’s mornings.

    Special thanks to all the Tesla and HD truck bros riding my ass on the way back from the store. I don’t need to drive 65 in the slow lane on a 50mph parkway with lumber on the roof…or maybe I do?
