A friend whose wife managed large income into two fully paid houses, one in Florida, saw the balance in the "play account". He wanted a Porsche, and did not like ocean wallowing. He told her the money was either going "in the garage, or in the ground (pool)". He did not get the car, but does get to swim at home.

Credit where it is due ... she is the reason they are in such an enviable position after starting later in life at that higher-salary job. He knows exactly why he was able to retire so comfortably.

    This and that
Insurance, fuel, gotta but the good gas, or you could get an electric Porsche. :anonymous:
I would only do that if I had at least one gas version.

Get a Corvette. World class sports car that routinely beats Porsche in racing. Made in America. Spend a whole lot less money to do and have other fun things.

I get Happy Wife, Happy Life having celebrated 40 years in Aug this year (yes, 1st marriage). However, two things: (1) “He *told* her”; and, (B) “either . . . . or”. If he was going to “tell” her then the “either . . . . or” was his 2nd mistake. Just an observation…..

There is mutual respect. She was an investment advisor until JP Morgan made extensive layoffs. He was making large amounts of money in his job. They took the roles that made the best sense ... he makes it, she puts it in "roach motels" so that retirement will be pleasant.

Pulling about 400 studs on a used affordable set of General Grabber A/T, (265/70-17), with winter around the corner I’ll be swapping from 265/75-16 to 17x7” FJ Steelies since we use tons of salt.
trying to decide which cap I like best?

    Two different sets.
I’m in NW Missouri, I don’t want to run studs as we don’t generally need them here with a 4x, I think our law states from like Nov to April for studs. I’ll likely use them for when I go out to the Rockies as to not gouge up the “beadlocks” I have about $460 in the winter set (tire, caps, wheels and nuts) and too much in the summer set.

Had the dealership do my first oil change, tire rotation etc. at 2880 miles(they really didn’t want to do it but I insisted). So at 6044 miles I did it myself with all Toyota components. Everything went great except when I drained the oil pan and filter housing I got almost 7qts. total also the oil was darker than I would like for only 3000? Am I just tripping not knowing the nature of this beast? IMG_3924.jpg
