I'm guessing you tried all the tricks of shifting it in neutral, while driving back and forth (slowly) etc?

I have my old actuator laying around somewhere I can take it apart. Mine was the ADD actuator though.

Here's the thread that helped me out. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/4wd-system-operation-help-thread.742420/#post-26430333

    Ya. It wasn't budging.
With the help of my diagnostics team and our phone a friend lifeline, @Supr4Lo , I got the actuator off and was able to push the rod in to the next position. (4H).
The rod needed some persuasion to move.
I'm in transit back to E.C. taking the 55mph way as I'm in 4H with the actuator temporarily unplugged.20241006_071455.jpg
I need to take it back apart and get the 'limit switches'? in the right position.

All part of the adventure. :headbang:

So... not my fault it hasn't rained in two months and all the roads were moon dust and the mud holes dried up. Did you have fun? Were you pushed a bit despite not using your winch-I recall a head scratcher of a twisty down hill... You got stuck yesterday-conveniently left out of the above rant-but I saw lots of smiles! Did the antenna problem get solved the same day? FFS if I say slightly tight and scratchy you know what your getting in to by now... just say'in. I gained 3 pounds-good food indeed! I had fun!

An epic tale worthy of the heroes of old! I’m glad the temporary repair saved you from the unspeakable…The Tow of Shame.

I’m even more glad all this didn’t interfere with dinner plans, because I was really looking forward to the hot beef sandwiches you brought.:D They definitely did not disappoint!!!
They tasted delicious. Especially since they were seasoned with Victory!

I just stopped in Ashland for lunch and finally got signal. Great weekend! Thanks to Pat for the fun, and all his time spent finding a route that leaves you in awe, and gets the blood pumping a bit! Of course, true to the Scratchy Pat name, the trails also inspired tears and anguish, but that only last a short time. :D

I spent the morning driving the pine barrens area again. I can’t get enough of this place. It’s just a different world. The sound of the wind over the open space is awesome. Today I saw rain blowing in sheets across the Savanah. It’s beautiful. I almost broke out into song and blessed the rains down in Africa. :p I found a few dispersed camp sites out in the open, each with a lone tree. I parked at one of those sites and just walked a bit to really let it all sink in. Love it!

Here’s a few pics from yesterday and today.

I didn't take many pics because my phone didn't work out there. So photo bomb it is.

I had a great time this weekend! Thanks to everyone for coming! And, thanks to @pearing for being our guide!

I had a little trouble on the way home, but it was no big deal thanks to @Pixeltim and @OldSchlPunk . I got a flat on the pop-up on HWY 51, fortunately on the passenger side! Everyone sprung into action, and we were back on the road in minutes.

    I really appreciated the help!

Apparently it's time for some new trailer tires!

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
We're putting the lug bolts back in and @Pixeltim says: Oops, we got this changed so fast, I forgot to get pictures.

I stopped by the in-laws,but they weren't home.
When I got on 51 traffic was moving ok but getting backed up by campers and boats. Things were backed at Steven's Point.

We stopped in Steven's Point for fuel, which was a fiasco. The Kwik Trip was a zoo. I'll remember not to stop there in the future!

Yeah, we get to Point and James @Thatbassguy says: WTH, shouldn't these people be home watching the Packers or something?

I had 103 miles on my tank of gas when we left camp this morning. Dash display said 14.2MPG average. I made it to Appleton on that tank. 380.1 miles (Ave MPG was up to 19.3!) and filled 19.42 gallons. WOW did that wind help!
