Does anyone’s passenger fold down seat wobble?

Is my seat going bad or is it normal for the back of the seat to have some slight play back and forth when in the upright position? I took the plastics off and no bolts are loose. I’m just now noticing it myself.

Obviously doesn’t move when someone’s sitting in it.

 

There shouldn't be wobble. Is it wobbling at the top of the backrest or the bottom

I noticed the left side of the metal that catches has a little notch, but to me that doesn’t look like where the problem is coming from.

Have you compared it to the driver's side? I just realized it's a single cab. I thought you were talking about back seats

 

Drivers side isn’t a lay flat. It’s perfectly fine. I got these out of a 2014 SR5 and did the swap, but didn’t pay much attention at first and I’m now noticing the wobble. I really think it’s just a nuance that came with it

 

Mine doesn't do it.
If I push and pull on it kind of hard, i feel just a VERY little bit.
But I have to yank on it pretty hard.

Yes, I actually made a special trip out to the truck to check.
We have the same year model, so why not......

 

Interesting. Again these are 2014 SR5 seats though. Does your passenger lay flat and turn into a table? I didn’t think they had that in the 2007s.

Fold-Forward/flat Table Seat on my 2014. No wobble.

I have tried to determine what package this was part of with no luck. The only mention of something is in the 2014 sales brochure features pages, which has a reference that doesn't exactly fit:

"Sport fabric-trim front bucket seats; 4-way adjustable driver's seat with lumber-support; 4-way adjustable front passenger seat (with fold-flat capability on Double Cab)"

My interpretation of it is the Sport's with this seat have Sport fabric, while the Double Cab's have the SR5 package type fabric: same seat, different fabric. It's shown as included as a package (P) on Access Cab 4x2, PreRunner and 4x4, and Standard (S) on Double Cab 4x2, PreRunner and 4x4.

I have the fold flat passenger seat on the 2009 ACLB SR5, so they can't be too rare. Clazzio leathers notes that seat in the ordering section of their site. I had to go out to the garage to check which seat it had when I ordered seat covers in 2022... Never used...
