    Hey all,
I come from a few Grand Cherokees that were off road worthy, switched to fast Audis but now I'm switching to Tacoma. Bought myself a 2021 Off Road and I have a couple questions about what I have here. Thanks in advance and I look forward for this build and the adventures it'll bring.

1: This thing looks like it has a lift. Thought so when I saw it, when I drove it and had looking at the suspension on my list when I was looking at it, bought it and never dug into it. Bonehead move but I have the bug and am curious what y'all think is in there. 2/1, more, nothing? I has TRD Pro 17's and a TRD Pro Grill, other than that I didn't notice any other mods.

    2540ea61a24b49eb02725db8aa57acbbx.jpg

    2. As I said, It has TRD Pro Wheels.... or at least TRD Pro "style". Are the Center caps replaceable? I'd like to add some color to them and the Grill.... maybe some badges with color.

    3. Regarding the wheels.... Whats that color? They look Satin Black with almost a bronze hue to them. Looked around and didn't see any of this color.

Future plans include OTT tune, maybe a better exhaust note, sliders, Cat protection (CAT theft has been a thing when I venture in the past 5 years). Then we will see what I'm into.

    4. Regarding the OTT tune. I've tuned a few rides and have always gone the self flashing route. I just like the ability to adjust or revert when I feel the need. How have peoples experiences been utilizing the software?

Again.... Thanks in advance and I look forward to contributing to this community.

That looks like 2” in front and 2” in the rear to me…Can you post a closer shot of the front suspension? It could be 2 in the front and 1” in the rear though, it’s always hard to tell in pics.

I wont have the vehicle until I pick it up later this week. This is the best pic I have. I meant to climb in the wheel well when I was at the dealer but got sidetracked by shiny objects.
My initial thought was the 2 in the front and 1 in the rear. Other Pics are below. The first of these two looks like there is a little rake which makes me suspect it may be 2/2.

Yeah I agree, I’m 99.9% that is a 2/2 lift now that I can see the rear has that rake. If it was a 2/1 lift, the truck would probably be level-ish.

Thanks, that's good enough for me!
Now I can have the fun of figuring out tires. They offered to "put new tires" on because those are trash so now I can spend the next 20k miles figuring out what I'll replace the likely garbage they put on there for me.

Haha yeah I’d say it’s a safe bet they won’t put anything good on there. I’ve tried a bunch of different tires on my truck because I have a tire problem and can’t stick with one set for more than 50K miles lol. My build thread might give you some ideas although if you come from off-road jeeps you probably already know about tire stuff anyway.

Ah yes, join the club lol. I just put 33’s on the truck last week. All terrains this time. I’ve had a couple sets of mud terrains previously and a set of 265/75/16 all terrains as well.

I can’t tell what I like unless I know what’s out there, right?

    100%
The "I'll just look at whats out there" then "I must have them" approach has cost me more money than I care to admit!

    Welcome! Congrats on the Tacoma!

Good call on the OTT tune. I would make that appointment ASAP. I went with the "mild" setting because the usual setting was too jumpy for me in traffic. I would just have a shop do it, unless you're the type who likes to try a bunch of different tunes. These trucks won't be getting any more updates, so it's not like you'll need your own software for that purpose.

As I stated in the OP, I don’t have the vehicle until later this week. I also don’t have any other pics, which I also stated earlier. Was mainly curious if y’all thought it looked like a “specific” lift based on a profile pic. Once I get it home I’ll do a deep dive and find out what it’s all about. Just excited and eager to have an idea of what I’m dealing with.

I would try to contact dealer asap and have input on the "new tires". If necessary maybe top up what they want to install with extra cash if needed. Tires you don't like seem to last forever.

Yeah, that would have been a great idea... Wish I thought of that. Bought it Saturday, they were closed today and Saturday they said "We're gonna throw some new tires on it, detail it and wash it up real nice like." I'll give em a call tomorrow and see if they've done it yet. Thanks!

So by the time I got to it they had already installed some budget “Geo Drive” 265/70/17’s. Looks like I’ll be driving on these ugly shoes until I need to replace them.

So I finally got this beast home and upon closer inspection it has a rough country lift all around. I’m just not sure whether it’s the 2” or 3”. Gonna try to figure that out. I figure me I’ll find out what stock fender height is and go from there.

I sold my stock Goodyears with 6k on them for a pretty decent price, and put that $$ towards my (at the time) awesome 265/75/16 (C Load) Duratracs. So glad I did it that way.
