2021 Tacoma SR Auto Headlights on 24/7

Hey y'all,

I have a 2021 Tacoma SR, as of yesterday my auto headlights are on all the time and along with that the screen is in night mode and is so dim that I can't even see it during the day, the only solution that I have found is to switch the lights from auto to DRL Off which works but it's rather annoying that the auto lights aren't working as they should and I have to turn off my day time running lights as a solution. Any ideas?

 

I figured it out, my wife had put something over the ambient light sensor without realizing it.

 

I have an SR 2020, what I’ve done is go into the menu settings and make the screen brightness maxed out.

 

this happens often, usually a baseball hat though.
