    Howdy,

I used to own a 2017 sport but had gotten rid of it in 2019 for various issues I had with it. I am now back having purchased a 2020 TRD sport with premium tech package. I had a few questions (which I am sure are answered throughout this forum, so I apologize). I haven't taken possession of the truck yet but the dealer told me it has LED headlights but to me it looks like it only has LED running lights. Can you tell from the picture I've attached? Also, I cant figure out what version of Toyota Safety Sense comes standard with this truck. Does safety sense only alert you of things or does it actually do automatic breaking outside of the adaptive cruise control? I know some people are against all of the safety stuff but I really do like the idea of having automatic breaking for accident avoidance and pedestrian crossing.

    Thanks!

TSS will, in a perfect world, apply the brakes under the right circumstances. (outside ACC)
I wouldn't, however, expect it to reliably keep you from running over every pedestrian you might fail to see.

Here is the 2020 brochure which might answer some of your questions. Welcome back to TW.

Forget about cruise control on these trucks.

That and it’ll have adaptive cruise + automatic braking. It works … “ok” but the transmission really loves to hunt gears

Haha, I hope to never to have to have to test these safety features.
