I know, I know. There's already a thread with this same topic somewhere in this forum. But I'm working away from home, my patience to figure out how forums work, and my dire need for knowledge have left me no choice but to annoy all of you..Lol and thanks in advance

My truck, a 2007 Tacoma 4x4 DCLB, either needs a new frame of I'm gonna start welding a bunch of rebar and scrap metal onto it so I can feel safe to drive it again.

So, my questions: I keep finding frames for 3rd gen tacomas and was wondering how much of a difference are these frames to the 2nd gens. Do the brackets still line up somewhat? Is it even possible to fab a 3rd gen frame to fit a 2nd gen?

Or would it be easier to fab a 2nd gen short bed frame to fit?

Any links to forums/threads or pictures of blueprints would be awesome!!

I want this truck to be up and running next summer so any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!

I would not make any decisions until you view the blue prints.

Im pretty sure 2nd and 3rd gen frames are very similar. I know that the cab mounts are different. In terms of suspension, they should be the same. But check for blueprints like @spitdog suggested

Is there a thread one here that has the prints? Or do you know any members that can help me get more info?

    Thanks
