Frankly, this is a solution looking for a problem that should not exist.

I've owned around 10 or grinders over the years. I've tossed the wrenches in the scrap pile for every one.

If your disks are that tight, you are doing something wrong. They only need to be good and snug.

flap discs/grinding wheels are never a problem. it's really only when using cutoff wheels. they go on hand snug, but by the time i lay into it slightly, and it wears down to need to be changed, the circumference is no longer large enough to get enough of a grip on it to loosen it up.

and due to the brittleness of cutoff wheels, i generally always use a pin wrench on them once they've got at least a 1/4" of wear on them-- far too many self-tighten during use, and trying to gorrilla-hand it off usually results in a good disc cracking apart.

How it sits now it is going to be a whole county response, I pray it is ok, but prepared for the worst

If it's anything from what I've dealt with insurance is trying every avenue before shelling out the cash for a total replacement. It's a waste of everyone's time.

    Good morning Wrenchmen :hattip:

Last night I fell asleep in the chair (again), when I woke up the cat was sleeping on my Chromebook keyboard.

This morning my view looks like this:

    upload_2024-10-8_6-30-6.png

Is everybody seeing this view or is mine messed up.
An icon for "Gemini" also appeared in my tool bar... o_O

Looks like this is going to be one of those days.

    43 degrees outside too.
