Made a 3d print mount for a switch pro. Decided to go with this as I wanted to keep the sunglasses holder. It does block the SOS but to slightly, but I don’t have a subscription anyway.

Took multiple iterations to find a solution I liked. Printed out of PAHT-CF as a final.

Finally got the hood lift struts and installed them.

I tried to change the engine oil but I can't get the filter off ! I'm not a weakling and used a 24" breaker bar....
Gave up and schedualled oil change at dealer. I've only had it for a thousand miles and it's a dealer who tightened it too much. I've also had to remove half a cup of brake fluid and cut off the previous person's trailer hitch lock.
Also had to use the big breaker bar to get the r. diff. fill plug off.

Did you use a Motivx tool with a breaker bar? That tool should hold onto the the filter housing at at strongest point, then breakerbar in small increments.

Yes. The standard cup like tool I already had several of to use on my RAV4 and Lexus RX 350. I used a socket on the socket part of the tool.

Kenwood DNR1007XR it's pretty awesome. If you look into it and don't need standalone Navigation you can save some money by going for the DMX1057XR

As you mentioned, It was probably the dealer who tightened the filter housing too tight - they will do it again. They cannot help themselves. Please don't let the dealer change your oil, you can do it, give it another shot another day. IMHO. Sometimes, laying on your back, under truck, feet toward rear head toward the engine, and find a place to put your feet & toes up into the undercarriage so that you can get some cranking strength on that 24" breaker bar, you should be able to loosen it. Like @RichochetRabbit said, get a good tool and make sure it is seated square before bearing down on it. Good Luck.

Thanks for the encouragement but I've done that. Braced myself and used my leg on the bar. Pretty much ruined the 3/8" square hole on the cup before I started on the socket.

Cup doesn't go on very far. It was popping off, losing paint.....

It's ok. They have the best price on the winter tires I want by a couple hundred bucks.

Edit to add... this isn't the dealer I got it from.

Motivx goes on far enough that any tiny amount of oil makes a suction that is annoying. I sometimes have to hammer the Motivx lightly to unseal the vacuum (on the Motivx tool, that is, not the vacuum in my head).

Oh okay. Welcome. I have to use my impact wrench on that silver disk with the 3/8" hole to get it loose, then Its pretty easy to then get the tool on the housing to loosen it somewhat easily. That housing should only be torqued to about 15 ft/lbs if i remember correctly.

I had that experience on my RAV4. Didn't think I'd ever get the tool off the housing. I have 2-3 of the tools. Tried 2 of them...

I've lived in NH my whole adult life. Usually more deer around here than people but that's changing.

I bought an awesome snow removal machine so there probably won't be much snow. Cold is relative....

Sometimes you need to break a "seal" of sorts on bolts or other screwed-in things.
