No, but I am looking into a brian crower/lc engineering engine upgrade stuff. BOOSTED? So Yeah, sooner or later I'm head that deeerection. I'm just collecting ideas and then pulling the trigger. Going to go with the 4.66 crower bottom end and then lc engineering top end parts. Once again, slow studying and I'm gonna get it right and do it right.
Some people think I should go LS, NO WAAAY, I'm a Toyota guy, and I know these engines are incredible. I have a friend, knew a guy, when I talked with in him South Dakota, he had close to 500k on his.

Nice there are a few the booster guys that have the crower kits. @mightytacoman has it and is boosted I think he is a bit over 400WHP. I was close to picking up a kit as well.

I don't have the crower kit yet, but I am researching and saving information and writing down things to get it exactly right the way I want it.

Wait, are you taking the taco to South Africa? You need to start a trip thread if that’s the case! Unfortunately as fun as getting a supercharger and all the go fast mods it’ll make the truck require more maintenance and potentially slow your trip down with breakdowns if they were to occur. Lots of guys who wrench on these modded up trucks have tools or access to tools to get things fixed. You’ll also need premium gas (although a low octane tune could be custom done). If I were to take my ‘09 around the world, I’d take it with minimal mods and as little to the engine as possible. Armor and a formal lift would give you some protection if you don’t mind the drop in MPG’s.

I'm pondering on going and thanks-"I will document on here just because you asked, but it's going to be awhile. I'm a pastor as my forum name says, BUT, I am a truck guy as well. Yeah, I realize the mods may be what you call over kill, but I already have a long travel tank on it. As I get things put on it I test it and if it doesn't work I either sell it cheap or I pitch it.

ABSOLUTELY! Better airflow, happier engine, happier mpg.

I’d stay away from these unless you’re thinking to add a supercharger or custom turbo. This is quite the custom addition that won’t add reliability or mpg’s. Stock rails are good my friend.

Do you want to sell them? If not take it to a performance shop. I'm slowly building an overlander and want to get all the extra ponies without supercharging or internal swaps IF POSSIBLE:burnrubber:
