I did muzzle last year in Colorado

long story short, my hunting partner of years lost his fuckin mind last year and I bought him out on the trailer he and I built. Haven’t talked to him since.

need to find some other bow hunters to go out with. The guys I’m going with this year don’t really take bow season seriously

In the last 2 or 3 years I've finally hit the age where I cant do it anymore...I cant hunt when its hot. Well...I can...I just aint gonna.

I hunted last Friday morning (not too terribly warm) and later was sitting in my truck in a completely shaded area and it was 82° at 11:15 am. No wind, which translates to mucho mosquitos. So I went home.
Im off Wednesday and Thursday this week, its gonna be 80-82 again. Im not going.
Its going to be nice both of those mornings but I dont like hunting mornings and coming home, I'd much prefer to spend the day over there. I'll do it in November if I need to come home early for whatever reason, but not in early October.

    My how things change!
Just a few short years ago I would've been up there if it was 94°, mosquitos be damned!!

Maybe I'm smarter now...maybe I'm just older and lazier.
    :notsure:

I've got right at 40 days off coming up, I'll pace myself until then I guess.

I’ve hunted mule deer in what’s considered the outer edge of Death Valley. Archery is in the summer…and 115 is not uncommon. Good news is most of the springs don’t survive, so, the mosquitoes aren’t everywhere.

Unfortunately, the only way to hunt areas like that is to hunt water. So the mosquitos are where you need to be to hunt.

So an update. I emailed the company and received a reply. They told me since I bought their lowest teir curse it could not be reversed. That one stated "something unfortunate will befall this person leading up to and including his death" . I could have went for the top tier, which stated "we will hunt him down, kill him, stuff him, put him in a box, and ship him to you". I'm buying a house so money is tight, but rethinking that maybe I should have went with that option as it would have ingratiated me with some of the posters here apparently. I could have taken suggestions on how to dress him and post pictures. One night in women's clothes and makeup, the next in blackface to get him canceled posthumously. Sucks being poorish.
