    Wanting to know how to wire the third brake light to the trailer brake light plug

    Tap into the blue wire on the back of the plug.
    Be warned. Make sure the tap is weather proof.
    If not, you'll have issues about 2-3 years down the road.

    I work in a boat shop so everything I do is weather proof. So tap power into the blue and just connect ground and done seems pretty simple.

    You could tap in at the rear tail light.
    Less wire to run.

    That would help just in case but I have rolls of wire I can work off of to tap into the trailer plug
