I am! Thanks for following along! sorry I didn't post all that much though. It was an epic experience and definitely got to take the truck some neat places.

Totally worth it! You'll learn a lot about wheeling in the west if you never have before. That way when you take your rig it'll be more enjoyable

I was thinking of going back west at least to Utah in the fall of 2019. Still in the idea phase though. I sense you too are a crf rider, very cool! R or X?

For me it would be in the October-ish time frame. I would have my truck but would mostly be to dirtbike ride Utah.
Sweet I have an X too. Good reliable bike

It's been a while since I started this thread and man has life changed since then. I'm 3 Toyota 4x4s later into my vehicular journey, got married, bought a house, have a kiddo... time flies, but the dream to get out west hasn't. Due to the way things unfolded between starting this thread and now, I still haven't been able to do my dream trip. This year might be the time. Don't know if anyone from this original thread is even around TW any more, but curious if anyone who is still here has done a trip like this recently / is planning to / is interested in doing so. Thinking September or early October. Here we go again...

Hey Ross! Read the original post about the trip and was excited to see pics from the outing you guys had, but now even more excited to know that you're thinking about doing it this year instead. I live in Denver and take my taco out wheeling in the west quite a bit. I'm definitely interested in joining. I didn't read through all 20 pages of the thread unfortunately, so was wondering if you had a potential itinerary for the trip that you could share?

I'm sure this was discussed in the previous posts, but late September or early October may be pushing it a bit with the weather at the higher elevations. If folks are open to it, I'd suggest sometime July / August timeframe for the best wheeling conditions!

Hey Nate! Appreciate the response and suggestions. I’m really open to anything, and late summer is fine by me— nothing booked as of now on my end. I was under the impression that Sept / early Oct were ideal for weather conditions but will take your word for it that the snow can be an issue then (would like to avoid this at all costs haha). No actual itinerary thus far, just some places I’d like to see and trails I’d like to run. Would love to get your input!
