IDK, my ex-wife and I just made right at 150k each on the sale of our home. I'm not sure I consider that highly overrated.

Man rent is insane where im at. Glad I bought pre pandemic and refinanced when interest rates bottomed out.

my land in Texas is still practically worthless. Been getting a ton of cold calls trying to buy mineral rights (I also own most of my land neighbors mineral rights too) so I’m hoping that means they found some shit. My old gas wells just ain’t producing anymore.

So, I got lazy. Years ago I switched over from fingers to release. Keeping in mind I shot fingers really well, like winning some State tournaments and placing in some Nationals, when I went to release I got lazy. By that I mean I chose the whisker biscuit as a rest. Now I could shoot some good groups with that setup, but never like I did with fingers. I told myself it didn't matter, I'm not tournament shooting, the groups I'm shooting are well within what's needed to kill a deer, and so on. This year I decided to get a QAD HTX. The results have been really disappointing. By that I mean I realized how much my life had changed when we moved up here and I was just like " this is good enough". So now I am shooting as of old, really enjoying my time on the range, and I'm wondering what the hell I was thinking.

I like to stick to the ol quote "if it aint broke, dont fix it." Now the one thing I have to really challenge is if something is actually broke and im just comfortable with the broken nature of what im doing.

For example, im left eye dominant and right handed. I shoot right handed, I have always shot right handed. So many people have encouraged me to swap over to lefty but im operating just fine with the way that I do things. Im comfortable with passing on shots where things dont line up. A blink of the left eye will shift focus quickly to my right eye and I can then keep both eyes open.

Same thing goes for my golf game. I play right handed but cross handed grip. I won't ever be great at golf and have no aspirations to do so. I shoot consistent 90s and occasional 80s. Most importantly, its a great conversation starter when I get paired with strangers

I try my best to stick to what works. Ill obviously try new approaches, but if it doesnt feel intuitive after a genuine effort, I go back to what works for me

    Absolutely.

For those that don't know, Stock and I joke around just a tad. I get that it doesn't look like it in this instance but I was joking for sure.
