Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
Check for universal replacements. Measure inlet, outlet, space required, Air injection or not.

We had the same scenario happen: Went out of town to find our cc stolen. Just got a new after market installed for 345.00 (dealer 1100.00). I'll check the part info and get back to you. Btw, We have a 95 Tacoma, 4x4 extracab, 2.7L.

Unfortunately common problem in some areas.
There are people building CC guards around theirs to deter them being stolen.

Weld razor blades to it. Then at least you'll have some blood for a DNA sample.

After you get a replacement have a shop weld a few pieces of round bar along the exhaust pipe to deter anyone from doing it again..

Found my receipt tonight, however the only info given was part#125jo-16. I'll ask them the brand, double check part#, and ask about your 98 (not sure of your engine size though). I got it 3/23/11 and passed smog with flying colors too!

Ok, got some info for ya. Magnaflow makes a cc fo a 98 4runner with a 2.7L (installed with my shop for $300). Turns out mine is a Cartex, model 12530-16 for a 2.7L 4x4 (95 Tacoma). Hope this helps.

    p.s.
I was having a laugh with the owner about ways to deter c.c. theft, and I mentioned the razorblade theory we were joking about in this thread. He told me it had already been tried! Apparently a thief got cut up while stealing an angry owner's c.c., sued the owner and freakin won in court (the thief got to keep the c.c. as well)! Only in California!..

Let me guess...all of your cc's where oem correct? Thieves only want the oem cc because I guess there's platinum inside of it...they sell the cc to shops or recycle yard...I've heard they get $20-50 a piece

So if yours get stolen don't get another oem one...my neighbors got stolen but not my dads 93 toyota pickup because my dads has a aftermarket one on it neigbors still had the oem one...
