Albuquerque, New Mexico, the place where Bugs bunny always takes a wrong turn... seems like lots of things take a wrong turn there actually judging by the general crime rate

Speaking of moving, we are going to be buying a house by the end of the year. The house we've been renting since 2018, our landlord decided he needs to sell by the first of the year. So it begins....well, it's already begun as we found this out a couple weeks ago.

We have pre-approval on a home loan through USAA but are working with a broker to get a second more detailed approval. Going back and forth on whether or not we want to just buy this house, though it's too small (2 bedroom, we need 3). But it would give us the guest house in the back that he currently rents out separately.

Issue there though is that guest house is a garage conversion done 40 years ago without any city permits/approval and could be a big headache later on. Not to mention it's not exactly an ideal setup to have the 3rd bedroom we'd need being outside the main house.

Anyway we're looking all over the area and have our sights on some options. Gonna be a crazy next couple months though especially with the holidays and this going down

Sometimes a kick in the pants to get started is good, but I don't envy buying in Southern CA market. I wish you all the luck

I've seen some info on that project, they've being doing it for like 50 years now, the more domesticated the foxes become the more colorful the fur coats become. Foxes are freaking cool.

I had a racoon in my driveway again around 5am this morning. When we first moved we had a fox pause right in the middle of the driveway, looked up at the security camera and took a shit it was hilarious.

Thanks, yeah it is spicy. Especially in our area. We don't want to have to make Sofia switch schools if we can help it so looking to stay somewhat in the same vicinity, but I'll likely be giving myself more of a commute to broaden our search in less crazy priced areas. Considering I live about 10 min from work now I've been very spoiled there

I wouldn't have been able to buy the house Im in now if I waited another 9 months even without the hike in interest rates that followed.
