Morning TW, I've been doing days of research on lift kits and I am just gonna piece together my own at this point lol. I'm locked on 5100's (Front & Rear) and now I'm deciding which pair of springs I should go with. I'm looking for a 2in - 2.5in lift in the front with similar to stock ride quality. I cant find too much specified info on OME Springs such as their spring rates and the lift they'll add. Any info is greatly appreciated. If you're running 5100's with aftermarket springs please slap a pic down below, I'd really like to see every ones build. TYIA

Are you adding any weight or is the truck going to be stock otherwise?

The only weight I'll be adding in the front will be a front bumper down the road.

I would plan to do it all at once or just use you stock springs currently and use the colar adjustment to achieve your lift for now. Then add springs at a higher rate to account for the bumper at that time. As lift springs at the rate to handle a bumper will ride awful without it.

Gotcha man, thanks for your input. That kinda solidifies my decision. I would be going up to a 600lb or 650lb spring once I get that front bumper then. Do you by chance know the difference in ride heights all the OME springs provide?

    Use this document.
If go with OME, make sure the product marked with X (885X, etc)

Anyone got pics of their Bilstein 5100 setup or know of a thread that has already been started?

I got a sticker and some cool valve stem caps...
There r many... to many to count, reference or link. The search function here is shit. Google... Tacoma 5100 tacomaworld... always use Google to search and just put tacomaworld after what ur looking for.

I have 5100's with stock springs, but only set to 1.1" in the front. Firmer ride but handles sooooo much better.

I have eibach springs on 5100s and pleasantly surprised by how nice it rides it’s on the first notch up (not the bottom notch)

I always had 6112s with stock bilstein springs they come with and noticed how much stock springs suck compared to an actual decent spring ride quality wise. If I get 6112s again I would definitely get different springs than the ones the kit comes with

That's what I plan on doing was the Eibach springs on 5100's! I read too much of OME springs sagging in time and just had more of a gut feeling with Eibach's. Did you do anything with the rear? I'm leaning towards the Icon 1.5" AAL and still doing 5100's.

Bilsteins are designed to use stock springs. If you are going to replace your springs, why not go with a complete OME strut and spring assembly?

It’s about the same cost. I actually prefer OME to Bilstein having had both.

I have icon rxt leaf pack stage 2 setting, I’ve personally never been a fan of an add a leaf (it looks good but never rides as good nor give your truck any additional function)

I’ve had deaver leaf pack on my old truck and loved those

2" 5100's here on stock springs, with Vangard Bull bar. I wouldn't change a thing.

How do you compare the two? Only reason I've stayed away from the whole OME Kit is due to comfort. I heard they ride pretty rough and I'll be doing a good 50% desert and 50% trails so I'm trying to find the perfect medium.

Bilsteins 5100s on the top setting, 4runner Gray TRD Pro Sema wheels, 285/70/17 Toyo AT3s, Sumo Bump stops, TRD exhaust, ECGS Clamshell bushing, 1/4 shim for the lean and one inch rear block, OEM Pro grill and garnish OEM TRD Skid plate, TRD CAI, Demon Brackets, Rigid Industries Pro fog lights, OEM Trail Rails sidebars, Diode Dynamics LED SL1 high and low beam lights, OEM Roof racks, Clazzio leather heated seats, Remote Start, TRD Pro shift knob, tinted windows, Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp for the headunit and sub and amp combo, OEM Puddle lights, OEM tailgate lock, OEM bed mat, LED interior lights, OEM blackout kit for letters, JLT catch can, upgraded 27F toyota True Start battery, Vleds led tail light kit with Pro tail lights, OEM Rave4 side mirrors with convex spotters, just to name a few mods.
5100s for 6 years, stock coils and been on the 4th and now the 5th setting. No difference in the ride, stock coils have been just fine. No issues with the 1 inch rear block either. No vibrations, nice ride as I did do the ECGS clamshell bushing, SUMO bump stops, rear carrier drop and front diff drop to keep the driveline in spec. I run 285/70/17s and calibrated the speedometer. I'm running a Blackhawk tune and very happy. A family member just bought a 2023 trail and its lifted on the 6112s with Bilstein coils and a 1/2 rear block and I think the ride is identical to my setup id that helps.
