Anyone just riding the greens? I still don't feel blue ready without lift and tires.

I’m planning on mostly greens as well since I don't want to break anything/reduce the possibility that something breaks.

I could get through some blues but I’d prefer to stay away from them.

Looking at the map yesterday, i realized that I haven't been out to mid run or the lake in about a decade. Was thinking of heading out that way Friday. Hoping that the play area is still out there for nostalgia. It was quite a sight when they clear cut the valley.

Some guys use CB and most of us have transitioned to GMRS.
I have a hand held you can use if you don't come up with one.

    Channels 1-22?

They might be FRS which is the same frequencies just lower power.

FRS does not require any licensure, family radio service. GMRS requires licensure (legally), general mobile radio service. FRS handhelds are limited to 0.5W, can't change any settings, and can't remove/change the antenna. GMRS handhelds allow those things.

But channel X in GMRS and channel X in FRS are the same frequency, for example.

Won't be able to make it unfortunately. Got a tattoo appointment and now it's my only vehicle, so I can't afford to break anything right now. I'm hoping by this time next year I can do some wheeling again

Checked out my purchase history and it’s an FRS/GMRS 50 channel handheld.

Oddly enough, I do have my FCC Radio operators license. Got it…. Fack, 21 years ago… I remember nothing a out it

Because I have so much free time (LOL) I'm thinking about making a video of this year's AOAA Bash, if we can find a way for everyone to get me the videos and worthwhile pics (Google Drive maybe?) they've taken I'll compile it all into a video that can live on YouTube

I’ve found google photos works the best. You can look at the 3 bears trip folder and see what it’s like

I have my ham license, and my GMRS license. The GMRS license is a 10 year renewal. The Ham radio is also a 10 year renewal, but free to renew. At least it used to be. I know new and upgrades are 20$ now or something like that, not sure if renewals are too. GMRS came down from 70 to 45$ every 10 years, no test required. Ham renewal is just a renewal, no test (for like licensure). The "50" channel thing is a twist off of the other 1-22, and maybe repeaters as well on the 16-22 range for GMRS.

Long of the short - those are what you need.

Oh come on, google drive works great! :spy:

We have 1 green xterra that went down last night, for some ungodly reason, should be there around noon today. Not sure if they're hanging around Shamokin (no comment) or what.
