Usb for aftermarket head unit

    Ok, i apologize if i missed a thread. Just bought a 09 taco with an aftermarket sony ax3250 in it. From what i understand the back of the unit has a 3' usb cord, female i think. Installer didnt drop the cord so im gonna have to go in there and get it. My question is has anybody found a plate/switch that would accept that plug (in back of the dash) and then have a usb for my phone cord in the front. Not sure if the usb on the hu is removable. Thanks and sorry if this has been covered, i couldn't find it.

    I bought this off of Fleabay and plugs right in the ports. Now I just have to hard wire it in. I have an aftermarket unit with a USB port on it. Connects to android auto. 2010 Tacoma

    Arb Deluxe bull bar Front Bumper Ironman4x4 12k winch synth line AFE Intake OME 2.75in Dakar Leaf springs (R) Fox 2.0 bypass shocks (R) Bilstein 6112 (F) 33's on KMC wheels off road lighting comfort mods Redrock HD roof rack Retevis rt95 Radio Slotted Rotors and HD pads
    same style as i used, plugged them together and then used some heat shrink tubing over the connection, have had no issues so far in the year plus I've had my head unit.

    and looks way less trashy then the plug pulled though under the head unit in the dead plugs

    minor tweaks
    One suggestion, don't mount it down in the back wall of the cubby in front of the cupholders. I made that mistake and it's a PITA when I need to plug in a cord, wish I had put it somewhere more accessible.

    put mine between the cup holders never had an issue, but i often just leave the cord in the plug
