Love my K02s! Big beefy bad-ass tires.

Should be the same exact tire. I know some people get the white letter ones, run the white on the inside, but I got the black ones because I didn't even wanna see the white on the inside. If I remember correctly it was the same part number, with different letters at the end Indicating white letters or black letters

KO2 are durable and good looking. Wet and snow traction seem to degrade substantially after a few years. Replaced with Open Country AT3. Better fuel economy going from E to C rated. Only ran for 1 year so far with good results in all conditions. Will have to report back after a few years of use.

I’ve bolted some stuff to it *lists cool stuff here*
+1 I too must have lucked out.. myself, my father, countless people I know in southwest WA of all places (stacks up as pretty rainy compared to basically anywhere on the planet) KO2’s for decades on about every truck and suv we’ve owned.. I can’t remember complaining about tires in the rain, slow down a bit?

Tire “running” narrow is also a little subject to the width of your wheel, my 285/70R17 on a 17x9 in wheel not only is wider but looks much different than the same tire on a factory 7.5in TRD wheel for example.. did OP give his wheel specs? Couldn’t tell if it’s stock

I’m on my third set of KO2’s. I live in Florida so there’s plenty of wet roads. They often spin when taking off from a stop. The other day I got off an interstate ramp and came up to a red light. I was in a total slide trying to stop. Tires are Probly at 50% tread. My question is: what tires offer better wet road grip?

I am in the no noticeable issues with KO2s in wet weather camp. I have had three sets on different vehicles and never had issues - certainly not worse or better than the Toyo ATs on my wife's Outback (she thought the KO2 "looked" to aggressive and made too much noise). That said my truck is set up to go off road but does just fine on pavement. However when it rains ( it almost never snows where I am in NC) so I think I have driven in the snow once maybe twice - not sure - anyway I tend to be more cautious and slow down so maybe that's why I never have noticed a problem. Some folks mentioned coming down hill in wet conditions and sliding when braking - I can't recall of ever being in that particular situation exactly so can't speak to that.

P.S. This thread is almost 6 months old......

    Duratracs for the Win!

Most aggressive tire that looks more like an M/T tire, but with better on-road characteristics.

Cupping is caused by under inflation and/or worn out steering and suspension parts- your trucks are showing their age.

KO2’s are great on rough Rocky trails, I’ve never had one blowout before. Chipping is rare on them too unless you’re spinning out, they’re great for dry off-road conditions. I agree with others, though the lugs on them don’t shed snow easily so they’re pretty slippery and when they get hard as others mentioned, also they are more slippery on water.
