There are folks around my area seeing them, but I can't see any. Might be hiding behind the trees :notsure:

Wow @bucktales, impressive pic of bobcats. I've found prints, den sites, but only one sighting in Taconics. Bet your rabbit population is low now.

Noticed yesterday that the FL storm was weakening slightly as it moved onshore. Good news for me... son lives in that general area. Haven't heard from him, but that's SOP. No news is good news.

Very few Turkey. Got a pic of 3 Jakes couple weeks back and I think the predators do a number on them.
But.. my Sister lives 10 min from me ,has the same predators but has a large resident Turkey population. Who knows.

Nice Pics! I went outside and looked but the tree line was blocking the Horizen.

Good morning. Off to the gym then getting a C-19 and flu shot. Going to try to make a smoked Beer Brat casserole on the smoker.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Therapy, and some errands, do some really minor putz when I get home. Forgot to run the dishwasher last night, and it's pretty full, so have to convince the wife to let me take her somewhere :D!

Next week...... we're actually supposed to be in the 80's, with low humidity. Promises, promises!:fingerscrossed:

Good morning folks, today I completed my second week of an eight week course of radiation treatments; so far so good. :)

As a side note, weather and my meeting schedule permitting, I've been riding my bike the 2(ish) miles each way to get my treatments; last week it was in the 70°-80° range, so shorts and tee-shirt were the order of business; today was the warmest of the week at 42° when I set out and about 52° when I returned, yeah, those down hill segments in the shade where my speeds are upwards of 30mph get a tad chilly.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Pretty amazing show last night. Went out to the wildlife area about 11PM, not much happening...for about 10-15 minutes, then it picked up again. Got some pictures, not great pictures...phone camera and terrible photographer.

I've seen them running to roughly straight overhead before, but last night they were running to maybe 110* from the northern horizon. As they died down again around 12:30, they became like convective lightning...or maybe light, wispy clouds blowing over...at about 200 MPH. Really amazing stuff.

That you can see them at all is amazing. Views this far South have happened very few times.

Our antenna television reception went out yesterday, late afternoon. The guy that services the towers said they had a "power bump" and it "locked up" several channels. The way I understand it, the aurora is caused by solar flares, which also cause power surges and electro-magnetic pulses... which can damage electrical equipment. Maybe TV transmitting services are sensitive...

    Afternoon all:
:annoyed:, we went to another place this morning that we had both hunted years ago, the trail in is still usable, but all the open areas that were along it are now grown in with either laurel or rhododendron, cross another spot off the list! :(
If you took your time back then, you could meander through the rhododendron in this area to get to some spots, no more, it's so thick you would need a chainsaw to cut your way in, I think a lot of what we are running into is due to the lack of forest fires anymore that used to be fairly common in most of the areas that we hunt.

Do goats like Rhododendron? If so, borrow a few and let them go to town. They use goats to clear out brush other places. :notsure:

Hate to quote myself - wife said "some people" (FB world) claimed to see them too. Yeah....then, on the evening news - reported sightings in Centrall Texas on the national news! I will have to look.!
