Going with a buddy to look at an LS430 this weekend and he was wondering aloud about parts availability. I know a little but not anything super niche.

 

I've been dealing with 395 to North Valley's construction for years now. It might be done by 2027.

 

Test drove that gx470. It drives like a lexus lol.

Definitely needs work tho-
Pass airbag light flashing
Possible brake fluid leak front left (brake pedal waa going all the way to the floor at end of test)
Vsc trac + vsc off light illuminated
Tpms light on solid
Unknown last change of timing belt

Maybe i can get a discount out of that.

FWIW If you have the vin, signing up on the Lexus site will let you see all of its history. Might show the timing belt date. You just add it in your vehicles.
(only Lexus records obviously, but hey its something)

 

uhg finally got my truck into the garage for some much needed maintenance, and the frame is bent a lot more than I thought... the front left beam is up almost an inch and the obvious damage is just behind the wheel before the cab, the rear is out a bit too, but thats a much easier fix...

I guess I'll cut the beam and pull it down.


I am definitely thinking about a tube frame tho.

 

Yeah, they want 9500, which is too much given the above. I told them id consider it as-is if there were a good discount, but ill be surprised if they go much lower. Then again theyve had it a while, maybe they need it gone.

You can find a CA, non-issue GX470 for that price here.

 

I'm glad I got mine in 2019 just before they got popular. Mine also wasn't abused so I haven't had any lights except the regular maintenance light.

 

I remember when I picked up the five lug from you it was all messed up. Can't imagine it's gotten much better and when it's finished it'll still not be enough for all the new people.

Yeah, there was a Yota guy in Stead/Lemon Valley who got it for 5k.

 

Yeah I hardly even see 470s for sale here anymore. Tons of 460s, but usually later. People just hang onto em. I don't blame them.
My favorite GX body is the second gen pre-facelift, those are a bitch to find in good nick around here.

 

That sucks. That thing was super clean. Could have got top dollar.

 

I'm not a money guy and get more enjoyment from giving someone a good deal.

 

Not as fancy because it ended up being very spur of the moment trail 300 miles away from home but I did get a couple shots just holding my phone. The camera and tripod would have been very appreciated last night
