In the fire service we called it "Practice as you play" meaning during training you wore your full gear and helmet and gloves etc. just as you would in a real fire. You have to be able to do all the things with your gloves on since you aren't gonna be taking your gloves off in a fire.

We also used the saying "Practice makes permanent" and we always tried to practice, not until you got it right, but until you couldn't get it wrong.

I agree the timing could have been better to reduce the waste. Perhaps that's a lesson learned from having a drill. Something you could bring up if there's an after action review or if there's a suggestion box.

that looks AI generated. the threads are odd, and the wall looks 'off' as well.

interesting design anyways, though i don't know that i like the design for the structural aspect. i feel like it'd need at least 1/4" wall tubing or thicker to deal with the sheer forces, so one wouldn't need to constantly re-torque all the nuts.

I can relate to all of the above.
I would prefer to have things done right the first time and things done in an expected timely manner, I found out that I haven’t been able to achieve neither when rely on someone else :annoyed:

Ha, the weather app says 10% chance of rain but it sounds like a classic nor’easter out there this morning…

Good morning everyone and welcome to the weekend :hattip:

I hope you’re having fairer skies

I know what you are going through. With little to no cell service or power.
We are up to 93 deaths reported to the state at this time. I'm sure there will be more.
Be safe my friend and thank you for your service.
