    Hi,

Does anyone know of a dealer in Northern California that stocks/installs the ECGS bushing? I have an extended warranty and would prefer to have a dealer take care of it.

I’m in San Jose but can travel a bit.

    Thanks!

You don't want a dealer doing this, installing it would likely give enough to void any warranty for the CV and diff.

Find an aftermarket shop that is familiar with the process. It's very easy.

Definitely don't go to Sunnyvale Toyota. Had them look at the my truck years ago for the TSB on the stock needle bearing and they claimed it didn't apply because they couldn't duplicate the grinding noise--tried to charge a diag for driving it around the block.

You don't want a dealer doing that. Go to Milogen Fab in Milpitas if you want a local shop to do it, or see if somebody here has the tool and can help you out. I want to say that @Blue Canary has one?

OP, as @ZColorado mentioned no dealer will do this for you. Even if a dealer has to change that needle bearing for whatever reason, they will reinstall the OEM Toyota Part, not the ECGS part. My recommendation is to have it done at Shaffer's OffRoad in Union City. They are the best offroad shop in the Bay Area and really good people. I had mine done there along with my lift and I couldn't be happier. With regards to warranty, how will the dealer even know it was changed unless they open it up and inspect...what are the likelihood of them doing that anyways. Once you change to the ECGS bushing you shouldn't have to dive into there again.

Do you have "the noise"? After my lift(5100s and OME packs, no UCAs). 285s and alignment, I inquired about it as a preventative next mod, the consensus was you don't really need to do it unless the noise starts and it's a toss up if your truck will start making the noise or not One of those "don't fix it if it ain't broken" recommendations I was given. This was in July and since then I've hit the trails 2 or 3 times and put on at least 3-4k highway without any of the symptoms. I have a 23 LBTRDOR and I"m sitting at 25k for what it's worth.

Thank you for all the comments. There’s a dealer up in Oregon that stocks the bushing and installs it. I was just hoping to find one closer. My main concern was that if I don’t have a dealer install it and something else goes wrong with the diff, Toyota might try to deny warranty coverage (I have an extended warranty until 2033).

I’m not yet lifted. I really want the eibach setup (stage 2R) but I’m thinking the OEM TRD lift kit might get less scrutiny if a warranty repair is needed. I can install the bushing and the lift myself, I just don’t want any hassle from Toyota if I can avoid it.

If you're wheeling hard enough to grenade the front diff, they're going to deny warranty coverage anyway.
