You’re a busy girl!

Not too bad. I have a job interview this coming Tuesday evening. It's an entry level job, but it pays better than what I have right now, so hoping it will work out, so I can at least pay some of our bills, while I keep looking for a full paying job. Gorgeous wether here of late, leaves are starting to change colors, though many have already fallen off onto the ground.

 

I'll have you know that Mrs Gritto and I went on an adventure today, to Fort Loudoun, an important historic site during the French and Indian War.

When people think of wars with the native Americans, they usually think of the Plains Indians.
The Plains Indians never stood a chance.

On the other hand, the French and Indian War was hard fought, and the Indians were, as a rule, as well armed as the colonists.
Armed by the French of course, also by unscrupulous traders.
Indians of the Eastern Woodlands were also far more numerous than the Plains Indians.

Think Last of the Mohicans.

Pennsylvania was one of the epicenters of the War, along with upstate New York, and French Canada.
The eventual capture of Fort Duquesne, renamed Fort Pitt (Pittsburgh) opened the northwest territories to settlement.
