Morning Pa. Trying not to think of going back to work tomorrow. I've had little over two weeks off healing. It's going to be a shit show. Man it was so nice waking up not dreading what the day had in store even though I was hurting. I can retire now if I choose, have my years of service and the age to get insurance. Would like to go 1/26 but we will see. Sorry I'm rambling this morning, happy Sunday all!

Good morning MM55, Gmorning neighbors to the North.

I think us 50+ folks have retirement on our minds because we've worked many years already.

Heck, I retired from the military with full retirement/disability pay at 44 years of age and on my 9th civilian job since...and I'm 58.

You are definitely not rambling...just concerned/preparing for your future living standard.

I know about the "dreading" part of Sunday but try not to think about it too much.

Get out there and continue staying busy and enjoy your Sunday. :) ;) :) ;)

The local news had a segment on "prepare for a higher winter heating bill than last year." As if costs can go any higher. I think the segment said about 6.5% for heating oil and about 7% for propane and natural gas. Electricity was about 10%. I have a heat pump that runs above 35 degrees. I get a heat pump rate from my electricity provider, DLC, but it's still costly. On the other hand, i got my propane over the summer and it was only $1.69/gallon.

We are locked into 9.9 cents per KWH, I need to check when this rate ends. Thinking 12/25.

Just rode in my brothers side by side today first time ever being in one. Wow is all I can say what a blast that was. He's a mad man behind the wheel. I swore he was going to flip it but it's stays so planted. Hope everyone has good rest of your day. Going home to finish up my laundry

Take it easy when you get back. Don't undo the 2 weeks of healing.

Retirement is doable with some proper planning. I worked for 27 years and been retired 31. Not having medical is what keeps a lot of people working.
    Be well.

Any other archery hunters out there? Temps are going to drop. I'll be going out the next two days. Only made it out once so far. Saw a coyote, that was it.

Lent the rototiller to the neighbor last week, got it back and looked at my label and it said "oil changed 6/11 ! So I changed the oil and it was nasty , says 12 ozs but I only drained like 6 , but she took 12-14 . Also added some stay-bil. She's good for another 13 yrs. Lol.

what does he have? I drove a 2024 Yamaha KRX a few weeks back and I think I am going to buy one. It just ate up everything I could throw at it and felt so stable; even at 30+ mph

I believe it's the maverick x3. He traded his bmw s1000rr for it. Only has 680mi on it. I'll have to get pictures of it. It's built beadlocks upgraded suspension exhaust system sounds quite at idle but loud af when the skinny pedal is on the floor.
