I removed the hood logo and Amanda helped me reapply it…

 

I was born in NorCal!

 

We centered it a lot better…

 

But I am still not particularly fond of the way it turned out…

 

I also added some more lettering and two biohazard symbols to the bullbar…

Amanda and I both love Star Wars; I stumbled upon this game online and decided to buy it, despite mixed reviews. It arrived today, and so far, I like it…

Fine, but it looks like it might only be part-time; I will know next week if got that job, and I’m gonna take it because it’ll allow me to get my foot in the door at Thompson Toyota. I can deal with part-time hours through the winter. I wanted to have a certain amount of money in my CD account by the end of this year; I have already exceeded my financial goal for saving a certain amount of money and paid my parents back for the transmission replacement, so I need a vacation. By “vacation”, I mean an easier and less stressful job.

Amanda and I have the days off that we want off, and they are paid days off (November 5th because we are volunteering at the polls, and November 30th because we going to a belated Thanksgiving dinner at my grandma’s house. If I do not get the job at Thompson, I will be putting in my two weeks on November 18th, which will make my last day on December 2nd. Amanda has applied for a couple jobs and I expect her to have new job by then.

At this job, I work every other weekend, with Fridays and Mondays off on the weekends I do work. My hours are 12pm-8pm, and potential employers seem to prefer early afternoon interviews on weekdays. This job is getting in the way of me finding a more desirable one.

My bosses have been good to me, and it really breaks my heart to leave, but the stress factor at this job is just unreal; I have never seen disloyalty and unreliability on the part of coworkers, like what I’ve seen at this job, at any other job!

I will have enough to pay six months of insurance on the truck, get some Christmas lights on the truck, and buy Christmas presents for my parents and Amanda. That’s all I need to do; I will really put my nose to the grindstone and go into overdrive with regards to finding a job.

 

This is my “random item of the week”; I took this picture last Monday at 1:48pm. The soap in one of my sinks at work formed a heart shape all by itself! I sent the picture to Amanda, thinking she’d love it, and she didn’t even know it was until I told her…

I saw this 1977 Volkswagen Bus at the scrapyard on Monday, and while the owner didn’t seem to give a shit that I took pictures, but he was kind of an asshole when I asked him what year the van was and attempted to engage him in conversation…

You don’t want people asking questions about your vehicle? How about not driving a VW Bus that’s almost 50 years old?!?!

 

Amanda and I bought some stuff to donate to those in need in North Carolina. Our church is filling a big rig that drove down south to help with hurricane relief. This was the first time (and hopefully last) that I bought tampons!
