Back in the day I had a 67 Chevy II SS that I put a 327 vet engine in. I bored it, put an Isky racing cam in and the list goes on and on. Muncie 4 speed, Hurst linkage etc. For a while I was running 2 4 barrel carbs but I could never get it to run just right. Went back to a single 4 barrel. Midnight blue, black tuck and roll interior. That thing screamed. At the Friday night grudge matches I was only beat by a 427 Chevy. Good memories. Had to sell it when I became a serious full time college student, could no longer afford it.
Thanks for sharing the pics Chuck. Brings back memories.
And Carl, those Tesla cyber trucks are the ugliest pos on the road in my humble opinion.

Please tell me you went through the museum while you were there! I've been there twice so far and could go back again tomorrow without hesitation. I'd really like to get out on the track, on 2 wheels, down there.

Good morning. Went to replace the battery in the backyard weather station and found out I had used the last battery. Ordered one and it should be here today. It is an odd battery size, CR123. Going to be an easy day.

Good morning all. Friend of mine calls the Cybertruck a Deplorean.

Hope everyone had a good weekend, I certainly did. Concert Friday night, saw Trampled by Turtles. Took full advantage of beautiful weather Saturday and took my Buell out for it's last ride of the season then put it up for the winter with a fresh tank of non-Ethanol fuel with same stabilzer added. Sunday we hit a local flea market then took one of the FJR1300s out for a nice 100 plus mile loop. Took a few pics for the FJR forum calendar contest. Going to see if my bike can make the calendar for next year.

Going to be a warm day at 80*. 46 now. Yesterday was a great day outside at only 70. Got lots of leaves raked and into the compost pile, but you couldn’t tell I had made a dent in them by the end of the day! LOL! Roof is covered in leaves! Guess even with the Gutter Filters I’m still going to have to climb on the roof and blow the leaves off. We haven’t had any cool fronts come through with winds to blow the roof off!

Kettlebell day, then the cleaning ladies are coming after lunch. I get booted outside when they show up, or down to my man-cave. I prefer outside unless it is too hot or too cold.

Everybody stay safe and do something fun today!

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/winter preppers. We're finally seeing some color change in the leaves around here; it's been warm and dry and that may have delayed things a bit I guess? We've been cutting back the gardens and so on to get ready for winter in spite of the trees staying green.

They gave us the opportunity to tour the museum for free as part of the whole package. Unfortunately it was at the very end of the last day, and they got us there about 15 minutes before the museum was scheduled to close! But you're right -- it is an amazing collection, especially if you are a motorcycle person. I'm really not, but they had a whole ton of other stuff to see including a slew of Lotuses, so I was a very happy camper. We arrived a day early just so we could spend time touring the area, and we thought about going over to the museum then, but decided instead to see some of the other sights Birmingham had to offer. The Birmingham Zoo was right across the street from our hotel, along with botanical gardens including a really nice Japanese garden. So we did a bunch of walking. But we did hop in the car to go see Vulcan.

    Nice looking bikes, guys!

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Well, it hit the 100 mark - the latest in the year it ever has. Made it a great day for football inside. GREAT Lions game except for one bad part, and I hope Hutch heals properly. They looked pretty good without his help, or Dallas was pitiful, or both. I took great pleasure in how many times the Lions lined up and used offensive linemen as receivers! Great troll.

Enjoyed the Lions victory myself. Sorry you still have hot weather. It is cooling off here in the DC area.

Good morning. Off to the gym earlier than usual, chair yoga day. Did an Alfredo sauce over pasta and seafood, getting ready for Fridays dinner. Made the sauce with cream and it was too rich, but good. Going for whole milk with a flour rue this Friday, a little healthier but not by much.

Good morning all. Starting to cool off quite a bit during the overnight, may have to soon turn the heat on. Used my heated jacket liner on the ride to work this morning, 42 degrees on the interstate can be a bit nippy. :pccoffee:

About the same here Chuck, 39 deg. here and looks like 30's and low 40's predicted for the upcoming morning lows, looks like it's time to fire up the coal stove.

It’s going to be a beautiful day to be outside! Sunny and 74* high! A good day to blow out the sprinklers.
Having coffee today with a young guy who has invited me to go pheasant hunting with him behind his Brittany. Sounds like a fun time if I can just keep up! Better start walking more before November when the season starts!

Wishing you all a wonderful day! Don’t waste it!

    Good evening all,
Thanks for the well wishes and thoughts. We did much better than so many in Florida. Still a lot of struggling for them and I can only pray that it gets better soon.
I have been super busy trying to get back to some sort of normal. My Tacoma has been a workhorse for us this past couple weeks. Hauling sandbags, dump runs with a a couple bed fulls of destruction, etc.
Thanks again..Tacomaworld folks. That means a lot.
