elblako's 91 pickup long travel build

According to TC website it says you need T-100 axles. They sell there own axles that are made for the kit and will supposedly last a lifetime but they cost an arm and a leg. For what I will be doing these will do just fine.

 

Just getting it home. It has no engine so the nose is way high lol

For your truck you need to use 1 gen Tundra axle shafts but Tacoma CV joints. I'm in AZ and have a 1st gen LT 4x4 if you ever wanna know anything just hit me up.

Well I have around a month and a half left before i take it to krawl tex so they can build my bumper and install the LT kit. Thought I'd take some pictures of my flex now and then get some more pictures once the kit is installed for comparison.

 

Does anyone have any experience with McNeil Racing? I'm looking at their fiber glass fenders and am wondering if anyone tried their fiberglass.

Honestly from everything Ive heard you want to get Glassworks. Mine fit with very minor trimming. They cost a little more but they are worth it. The only other Ive heard really good reviews is Fiberwerx but IMO the Glassworks designs look a lot better

 

I would go with glassworks but they don't offer JUST the fenders for mine since i have a 4WD. They do make it for 2WD tho. They also have a race option package which comes with the fenders and the hood but I just need the fenders. Does anyone know if the fenders for a 2WD will fit my 4WD?

actually.... now that i think about it my fitment kinda sucks too, like gabs between the doors and hood and stuff.... and they got pretty banged up during shipping too.

Ok guy's 9 day's until the truck goes under the knife. Already ordered my glass fenders from mcneil and some LED turn-signals from trail-gear. I've been thinking about what to do to match the rear track width. I'm leaning towards some rear wheel spacers to match the front track width or a t100 rear axle. Would i be ok to get away with rear wheel since i will not be doing any high speed stuff and mainly trail riding.

 

you'll be fine with spacers. plenty of people run them, including me. just make sure you get spacers that are lug and hub centric. those are the best. and every month or so take the wheel off and check the bolts and make sure they are tight

 

Update: Stripped the bumper and the lower skidplate down and dropped the truck off at krawltex yesterday.
