Looks good! How do you like that tonneau cover? I have a soft folding one and was thinking of upgrading to something like yours.

    Installed new parking brake cables.
Had to do it twice and order dealer ones because aftermarket ones on the drivers side where to short.
    Wired up the puddle lamps
Wired up the heated spotter mirrors.
    Rotated tires/ balanced front tires.
Alignment-set toe because my camber and caster bolts are seized.
Pressure washed undercarriage and rp342 under coating on frame and corrrosion-free under coating the body.
    Unfolded soft topper.
Got ready for winter! had to take advantage of the weather this week.

Have you used the rp342 before and how effective do you find it? Was my first choice but was hard to source and expensive when I was looking about a month ago. I went with CRC heavy duty rust inhibitor instead as it's similar stuff. First time doing surface rust correcting and undercoating. Was pleased with the results but not sure how well it will last with our PNW very rainy winters.

Hey this is the second year I did the rp342. The first year I ordered the from the supplier and got fu*cked with duty coming into Canada. Ordered 6 cans it’s just enough for the frame. I wash frame every time I see salt stains on my truck at work. It’s holds up well. It comes off on the hard hit areas examples front cab mounts behind the front wheels and rear diff area. I ordered this time off Amazon this time $10 more expensive than with a promo code from the company but all taxes were included. I used corrosion free on the body and in the body as the rp342 does seep in smaller cavity’s. my truck passed the frame inspection recall and I get compliments how nice my frame is lol. It’s a pain in the butt but I have access to a hoist and everything etc. this year I tried to do something different. Regardless oil /wax it all needs to be every year here with all the salt they use.

Had it towed to the dealer :(
Massive steering fluid leak with extremely hard steering. Happened suddenly without warning.
Truck has been good to me for over 14 years now with very low maintenance and repair costs along the way so won't complain.

Might look goofy on only the rear. I’ve heard almost all fiberglass needs work to look right.

You could also find non color matched bedsides and paint or wrap them. The fiberglass will need paint too unless you like that unmatched look.

Have you considered a flatbed? Those are dope.

I have looked at flatbed but they are pricy too. I'm looking at metal bedsides to and weighing out options. I was afraid the fiberglass would look bad. Haha.

The pre made ones are pricey yes.

Do you have the means to make your own? Otherwise looks like oem bedsides are your best bet.

McNeil has a fiberglass fender that is less wild that might work. It will still probably need bodywork though. https://www.mcneilracinginc.com/pro...flat-top-off-road-fiberglass-bedsides-5-0-bed

    Is insurance not covering it?

Insurance gave me $5400 to fix it. I'm trying to keep it under 3k. It crushed my camper shell as well. I may replace it. I may get a rtt. So that's why I'm trying to keep it under 3. I daily the truck so I don't have time to have it down to fab a bed myself.

Gotcha. Bummer you lost the shell as well. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I'm seeing multiple beds on Facebook market place in Jacksonville fl at different salvage yards. It's a drive for me but one of those may work and just get it repainted. There's a red, green, grey, and black. My local body shop said expect around 1k for paint. The beds themselves are all 500 to 600. So if one of them is actually in good shape when I get there that may be the best option.

Check with a good vinyl wrap shop for their pricing. TVD Vinyl Decals uses 3M product and has a color match chart on their site. I've been to Maximum Exposure Wraps here on other projects, and seen them wrap dump trucks and other equipment.

If you can wait a bit there is likely to be quite a few more trucks totaled due to flooding that will be hitting the market soon once they make their way through the insurance claim process.

This past Saturday I got my replacement fuel filler door one with some 4-40 hardware. Pulled the flare and inner fender to reach the washers and nuts inside the fender. Added a Meso Gashole while I was at it.

Ultimate headlight upgrade with Osram 100/90 bulbs. Whipped up a little bracket to hold the relays. Got some new hardware and painted it Sunday.

Switch panel looks clean! It's on my list. I have all the parts. Just need the time.
